I have many sayings but my top 2 on Jocassee are: “Always Be Prepared to FALL” “ if you didn’t get injured…… you didn’t experience Jocassee” Thanks for coming up, and out of the hundreds of tours I have provided, the three of you have been my favorite so far. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful Carolina blue sky day!!!!!

Actually there is cell service if you stay close to center of lake channel. I happen to know because the oil filter seal blew out on my ski near the Towaway suspension bridge! (5 miles from the dock) Fortunately, there was one final boat coming back for the evening and they towed about a mile and i was able to contact the park office and DNR Ofc Brian came out and saved the day.

I am glad that worked out for you… I was mainly referring to data services around the lake looking for maps and routes and such…. Sounds good … glad you got rescued! Thanks for watching and adding a comment! Bob

Reminds me of another man-made lake, Lake Norman (managed by Duke Energy). Nice to have a local guide to show you all the cool spots. I can only imagine how busy it is on summer weekends. Smart to explore it early in the season.

I have been past Lake Cumberland too many times to list but never with a ski. The thing about lakes is they have to have some other interesting things along the shore or it is just anther lake video that everyone turns off. hahahhahahahahaha I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment! Fascinating video, I was born in Spartanburg not far from Greenville which was mentioned in the video. I see that flowing water and I think of moonshine making. I bet quite a bit happens there. Last but not least, there's a Lake in Tennessee called Watauga. You should look it up Bob, the whole town of Butler is underwater. There's even a Butler bridge that goes over where the town was

Looks beautiful, especially during the fall. Advantages? No Salt-Away required. Crocodile count = 0. Alligator count (approx zero, occasionally someone will release one in there “for fun”. Disadvantages? Too cold to enjoy 5 months out of the year

I enjoy your trip videos very much. Have you described in one of your past videos how you do the after trip voice overs (or whatever the proper term may be) and also the app or pc software used to add the captions over the video. I use GoPro app but have not seen it to have that capability but I am new to GoPro. Very nice job again describing the trip and video presentation. Thanks Bob
@BobBroeking
@BobBroeking 6 ай бұрын
I used a paid version of Wondershare Filmora that allows you to easily do the captions , voice overs, and all major video editing tools that you will use. Any major video editing software will allow you to do these video additions; it just takes some time and practice to get it down so its easy and second nature. I start with about 20 hours of footage from a normal 4 hour ride and work to get it down to around 11-15 mins... part of the creative process for me; usually fun, but not all the time! :-) Bob
@ericbrown3283
@ericbrown3283 6 ай бұрын
Thank you Bob. I will research Wondershare. As I said, really enjoy the time and detail that are in your videos because it makes it easy to understand where to go and also know how to duplicate the trips for those viewers interested in doing so. Your video of the 1 yr review with your riding friends of the hull epoxy type Gator Glide coating is one reason I coated my 2022 Sea-doo GTX Limited plastic (acrylic/ABS blend) hull with a similar Wetlander coating. I'm 68 yrs old so in addition to preventing the little nicks I typically saw after each ride, it really helped getting the ski off and back onto the trailer. Thanks again sir....I will be watching your future adventures
@BobBroeking
@BobBroeking 6 ай бұрын
@@ericbrown3283 yes you are mature like me! hahahahahha Yes, any major video editing softwarre will do what you need; my advice is to the pick the easiest one and stick with it until you learn it. Hope your hul coating works well; it has held up well for us. What part of the country are you in? Bob
@ericbrown3283
@ericbrown3283 6 ай бұрын
We are in the Houston Texas area. So far the hull coating has been nice. Was a little concerned that could not find any examples of the Sea-doo acrylic/ABS (what Sea-doo calls it) being protected....just fiberglass and aluminum hulls. One of our Facebook Extreme Jet Ski members had done quite a few Yamaha skis at his home. He researched with BRP and Wetlander and he got it done for me. So far it has been nice ..just like y'all's documentation with Gator Glide epoxy type protection

@@ericbrown3283 Houston! you guys seem to have one natural disaster after another! I asked a retired USAF friend who lives in the Woodlands if Houston is that dangerous of a place to live but he assures me it is safe most of the time! HA. Glad you got the coating and I hope it works out. Bob
