Opened: 1972
Jet Stream is a log flume ride that opened in 1972 at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Santa Clarita, California. Jet Stream was made by Arrow Dynamics, the same company that built Log Jammer and Gold Rusher, the park's first coaster. It was built since management thought that another flume ride would attract more visitors. Jet Stream is placed on the backside of the hill that the park is on, opposite of where Log Jammer stood, to ensure that guests could reach a log flume wherever they were to cool down.
Jet Stream was the first Arrow Development flume to use a turntable loading platform. The platform is constantly spinning, with the exception of a circle in the center, where the ride operator station is.

They never ran both tracks of collossus, or both of superman, or used both loading stations of Tatsu at the same time either. It seems that SFMM is the king of having two of everything but only ever using one.

@@xygomorphic44 yes they have, I’ve been on Tatsu while they were running both stations, and same with Superman, I’ve seen it with my own eyes. They only do it when it’s peak season during summer when it’s the most crowded. Original colossus used to run both sides especially during Halloween events but towards the end of its original operation they decided to stop running it double. Twisted colossus runs both sides during peak summer as well now.

awsome video! going to magic mountain on and off since the 70s, and ride it at least once a trip (got lucky was there in feburary one year where it was in the 80s and it was the only water ride open rode it multiple times)

you chould go on Jan becaause six flags might be doing fire works but any time is a good time just don't pick the crowd days or you might have to wait in line for the rides super long!
