Great video, thanks for sharing! Clearest sound of the A321neo with GTF I've heard on KZbin. I like how the engine still has an audible growl from the fan blade tips at climb power, but much less aggressively than the older engines and even compared to the competing LEAP engine.

Type "airbus neo full power" in the YT search engine. There's an awesome video of LEAPs at TOGA thrust and they're buzzing like crazy, and when the climb thrust is set, it nearly dissapears.

It reminds me of a quieter A330neo a little bit.

The PW are nice and all, but give me those LEAPs. They aren’t exactly 757s but better than nothing.

Really took it easy on the throttle. Can hear thrust slowly increase after liftoff. Guessing it wasn’t a terribly full cabin considering it’s 2020, although the EWR-MCO flights on United have been mostly at least 90% full. Sort of long takeoff roll but very quiet.
@YayAreaAviation4 жыл бұрын
Yeah the flight was surprisingly really full honestly
@ecoRfan4 жыл бұрын
@@YayAreaAviation Yeah definitely took it easy hence the long takeoff roll. Also at least 4 minutes to 10,000 feet so not rocket climb for 2.5 hours either. United's Newark to Orlando flights have been packed generally... but still fewer per day. And UA isn't blocking the middle seats either.
@tritontr20bass3 жыл бұрын
Actually that was a flex takeoff (reduced thrust) with no increase after takeoff, even though it may have sounded like it. Then thrust was further reduced at 1000 feet.

The cabin sound during takeoff sounds a lot like a 757 behind the wings despite the engines
@deltafox7574 жыл бұрын
it actually does! if you sit behind or on the wings of a 757, it sounds almost identical. (Hydraulic noise)

Judging from the left bank just after takeoff, I'd assume this plane took off toward the Boston skyline? I witnessed this years ago from the observation floor atop Prudential tower and Hancock

The 15R departure pattern goes southeast for a couple miles then banks to the southwest

@@kbos_aeronautics A plane flying toward the south east(140-150°) then turning to the southwest would bank to the right. The plane taking off in this video banks sharp to the left - as did the aircraft I witnessed taking off toward Boston downtown
