Nice job of showing the muting part which adds so much to the authentic sound of the song. A song that is this year 52 years old. I'm 74, if I was playing songs from 52 years back from my birth, I'd be playing a banjo and "camp town races sing this song do da, do da. Enjoy your youth. Saw Jethro Tull at Oakland Coliseum, in like 1973 or 74, during Bungle in the Jungle tour.

To anyone who would dare try, an open g tuning (dgdgbe) makes this loads of fun because you play chords all up the neck. One day might post a video for ya if more than 5 people say they want it.

Finally after some long frustrating years learnt that hand muffle and to chuck the muted strings after each chord.. thanks so much! And it was so simple!
@bobbyowen87166 жыл бұрын
I like that you don"t waste time showing how to finger every chord. Thats very irritating on other lesson vids. I mean everyone needs to learn chords but thats before you start learning songs. Thanks!

Thanks for the lesson, although for my part it had to do with the non-chord thingie: I could never find out how to strum those locomotive-puffing like strings. Now I finally know after 20 years, thanks!

obviously they want to play the guitar as apposed to having it look good lol, love the sound of new strings cant wait to hear them don't having time for trimming crap lol
@katanakeith16 жыл бұрын
White Pastor, BS, I've been playing for over 40 years and I've never left them that way. They can make noise banging away like that. They think that it looks kool Beside the chance of making noise, it can screw up the inside of your case and even worse if its a gig bag.
@2012ams16 жыл бұрын
I'd rather fold them instead of trimming, this way you may use the enrolled part if it breaks and you don't have new strings at hand

This song is in the key of G Major, therefore the B which is the third, should be a B Minor. Try it as a B Minor, as it should sound very good!
@steve365035 жыл бұрын
Not today! The correct chord is the Bmajor as shown above.

Toyed with this tune with some other half-arsed muso friends (dudes who happen to own guitars) in the shed one night after putting the solitary Bic lighter through its paces. The subsequent result was a much slower thing going on with a cool descending bass line (the dude who could actually play) running through the guts of the song and, curiously enough, a vocal sound akin to Leon Redbone. Destroyed a few other classics that night too.
