For the guy who asked for the lyrics..... "Teacher" Well the dawn was coming, heard him ringing on my bell. He said, ``My name's the teacher, that is what I call myself. And I have a lesson that I must impart to you. It's an old expression but I must insist it's true. Jump up, look around, find yourself some fun, no sense in sitting there hating everyone. No man's an island and his castle isn't home, the nest is full of nothing when the bird has flown.'' So I took a journey, threw my world into the sea. With me went the teacher who found fun instead of me. Hey man, what's the plan, what was that you said? Sun-tanned, drink in hand, lying there in bed. I try to socialize but I can't seem to find what I was looking for, got something on my mind. Then the teacher told me it had been a lot of fun. Thanked me for his ticket and all that I had done. Hey man, what's the plan, what was that you said? Sun-tanned, drink in hand, lying there in bed. I try to socialize but I can't seem to find what I was looking for, got something on my mind.

Tull is music for old souls. They even advertised in the art on the cover of "This Was", in the title of "Living the Past", and spelled it out as plain as day in "Too old to rock-n-roll". Though never admitting to Tull Favourites, 'With You There to Help Me' on 'Benefit' is up at the top but I have never seen a good 'live' version of it and it now seems forgotten by the band. Martin Barre's guitar work is quite wonderful as much so today as ever!

It always bothered me that the other members of Tull were marginalized so much by Anderson, who was clearly a musical genius, but seems like he would have been a real dick to work for, I mean with.

Tull’s omission from the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” discredits that institution as much as any of the many absurd omissions.

Jethro Tull well that is a good question I’m terrible with dates especially years 🤦♂️ it was the 12th of February 2004 I have still got the flyer 🤯 I can’t believe it was that long ago ,it was at the Manchester Apollo and it was absolutely brilliant ,there was a guy on first playing I think it was something like a 24 stringed guitar amazing I’m sure his name was dan, he was supposed to play a song with them but he went to the pub instead 😂 there was also a lady playing the violin she was beautiful to listen to , it was crazy because every tune they played I knew And it was if someone had stuck the album on absolutely on point I couldn’t fault them in any way cracking gig , stay safe guys all the best as always ✌️💚🤘

I hear you brother, and am with ya. I can still remember this was supposed to be a gov't of the people, by the people, and FOR THE PEOPLE. and when we flew the "Don't Tread On Me" flag, WE MEANT IT !!! Think it should apply to all enemies, from without AND within.

Amen Brother. Somewhere along the way, the powers that be thought up a new term, "politically correct", and swapped it out for just being correct. What the hell?

The 70's was a great time for concerts. There was a constant stream of great bands coming through cities. And you're right. Practically no cops. Even when they were around they didn't do much. We used to have parties and build bon fires. The helicopters would fly over with their spot lights, check us out and fly away. They knew what we were doing. They just wanted to make sure we weren't burning a field or park down to the ground. Fast forward 35 years. Last week, I'm driving my sisters Jeep. Cop gets behind me and hangs there for a bit, then comes up along side of me and looks at me. He goes back behind me and on come the lights and he pulls me over. I asked him what the problem was. Basically, he told me that he ran the plates and the pictures of the owners of the Jeep pops up on the computer they have in their cars and I didn't match either of the owners so he thought it was a possible car theft. I don't know when they started that crap but I couldn't believe it. I mean, look at my face. Do I look like a car thief? I look like Mrs. Citizen for Christ Sake. As it turns out, my sister was sitting right next to me in the passenger seat. One would think that he would have looked at her face after he got done checking mine out and he would have noticed her face was one of the faces that popped up on his computer as one of the owners. "SOMEBODY" wasn't paying attention. And we can't use a cell phone when driving yet these cops can type information on a computer as their cruising 65 down the freeway?? This cop was alone. He had no partner with him typing this stuff in. And he was probably talking on the radio at the same time. And finally, he has to take his eyes off the road to get a good hard look at me. Does anybody else see problem with this scenario?
