But I could put this song on, and he would perk up and sing every word of this song, and tell me the names of every member of this band. What an evil illness dementia is. I'd sacrifice 10 of my years to have one good week with my dad again. 😪

The entire ERA of Guess Who, Loving Spoonful, Blood Sweat and Tears etc was one of the greatest musicianship, writing, and simple yet effective production standards that seldom disappointed. Combined with the authentic soul music coming out of "tap" at full throttle and a vibrant folk music scene it was simply the best of everything.

This is f*cking rock and roll - those acoustic guitars, that straight drum beat including those caveman single stroke fills around the drums - with those cymbal crashes on the snare cracks, that bass is super smooth like spreading room temperature butter on toast, did I mention the acoustic guitars ?! New Mother Nature is driven* by those drums and bass - that *keyboardist sprinkles those nice key runs perfectly. The lyrics and singing are perfect ! Saw these guys back when I was teen play on a bill with Blue Oyster Cult - it was an incredible show and that's putting it rather mildly ! ❤🎶🎼🎤🎸🥁🎹
