My dad died from dementia in February2020. He he couldn't tell me what my name was. But I could put this song on, and he would perk up and sing every word of this song, and tell me the names of every member of this band. What an evil illness dementia is. I'd sacrifice 10 of my years to have one good week with my dad again. 😪

Very touching story. Thank you for sharing. May your dad RIP. My aunt had dementia/Alzheimer's. She loved music. The key is to play the music they grew up with. May she RIP. My brother also passed away two years ago. He loved this group!! RIP

Oh me too. Lost my daddy sept 30, 2009 to evil colon and stomach cancer I bought my stereo to his house, hooked it up and we jammed! He'd control the remote and he had the roof jumping and He'd cry silently big tears while listening miss him so bad 😢😢😢 but I can hold on that much with the time we had with music ❤❤❤

The entire ERA of Guess Who, Loving Spoonful, Blood Sweat and Tears etc was one of the greatest musicianship, writing, and simple yet effective production standards that seldom disappointed. Combined with the authentic soul music coming out of "tap" at full throttle and a vibrant folk music scene it was simply the best of everything.

This is f*cking rock and roll - those acoustic guitars, that straight drum beat including those caveman single stroke fills around the drums - with those cymbal crashes on the snare cracks, that bass is super smooth like spreading room temperature butter on toast, did I mention the acoustic guitars ?! New Mother Nature is driven* by those drums and bass - that *keyboardist sprinkles those nice key runs perfectly. The lyrics and singing are perfect ! Saw these guys back when I was teen play on a bill with Blue Oyster Cult - it was an incredible show and that's putting it rather mildly ! ❤🎶🎼🎤🎸🥁🎹

Who's still 17 today? I'm really 61...lol. I see a lot of boomers comments these days that yearn for the past...the good old days. It was a great time back then. But you know what I'm always 17 when I listen to rock and roll music. Life sure sucks but it's ok cause I'm still 17 today. This group sings in around and I have never heard another rock band do that. Crank that sucker up...I don't give a damn about the neighbors... 😂

Lyrics. Enjoy Lonely feeling deep inside Find a corner where I can hide Silent footsteps crowding me Sudden darkness but I can see No sugar tonight in my coffee No sugar tonight in my tea No sugar to stand beside me No sugar to run with me In the silence of her mind Quiet movements where I can find Grabbing for me with her eyes Now I'm falling from her skies No sugar tonight in my coffee No sugar tonight in my tea No sugar to stand beside me No sugar to run with me Jocko says yes, and I believe him When we talk about the things I say She hasn't got the faith or the guts to leave him When they're standing in each other's way You're tripping back now to places you've been to You wonder what you're gonna find You know you've been wrong but it won't be long Before you leave 'em all far behind 'Cause it's the new Mother Nature taking over It's the new splendid lady come to call It's the new Mother Nature taking over She's gettin' us all She's gettin' us all Jocko said no, when I came back last time It's looking like I lost a friend No use callin' 'cause the sky is fallin' And I'm getting pretty near the end A smoke-filled room in a corner basement The situation must be right A bag of goodies and a bottle of wine We're gonna get it on right tonight 'Cause it's the new Mother Nature taking over It's the new splendid lady come to call It's the new Mother Nature taking over She's gettin' us all She's getting' us all Jocko says yes and I believe him (Deep inside) when we talk about the things I say (Find a corner) she hasn't got the faith or the guts to leave him (Where I can hide)when they're standin' in each other's way (Silent footsteps) you're driven back now to places you've been to (Crowdin' me) you're wonderin' what you're gonna find (Sudden darkness) you know you've been wrong and it won't be long (But I can see) before you leave 'em all far behind 'Cause it's the new Mother Nature takin' over It's the new splendid lady come to call It's the new Mother Nature takin' over She's gettin' us all, yeah, she's gettin' us all Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow (Mother Nature) Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow (nature) Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow (sugar) Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow (sugar) Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow (sugar) Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow (nature) Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow

Lyrics Lonely feeling deep inside Find a corner where I can hide Silent footsteps crowding me Sudden darkness but I can see No sugar tonight in my coffee No sugar tonight in my tea No sugar to stand beside me No sugar to run with me In the silence of her mind Quiet movements where I can find Grabbing for me with her eyes Now I'm falling from her skies No sugar tonight in my coffee No sugar tonight in my tea No sugar to stand beside me No sugar to run with me Jocko says yes, and I believe him When we talk about the things I say She hasn't got the faith or the guts to leave him When they're standing in each other's way You're tripping back now to places you've been to You wonder what you're gonna find You know you've been wrong but it won't be long Before you leave 'em all far behind 'Cause it's the new Mother Nature taking over It's the new splendid lady come to call It's the new Mother Nature taking over She's gettin' us all She's gettin' us all Jocko said no, when I came back last time It's looking like I lost a friend No use callin' 'cause the sky is fallin' And I'm getting pretty near the end A smoke-filled room in a corner basement The situation must be right A bag of goodies and a bottle of wine We're gonna get it on right tonight 'Cause it's the new Mother Nature taking over It's the new splendid lady come to call It's the new Mother Nature taking over She's gettin' us all She's getting' us all Jocko says yes and I believe him (Deep inside) when we talk about the things I say (Find a corner) she hasn't got the faith or the guts to leave him (Where I can hide)when they're standin' in each other's way (Silent footsteps) you're driven back now to places you've been to (Crowdin' me) you're wonderin' what you're gonna find (Sudden darkness) you know you've been wrong and it won't be long (But I can see) before you leave 'em all far behind 'Cause it's the new Mother Nature takin' over It's the new splendid lady come to call It's the new Mother Nature takin' over She's gettin' us all, yeah, she's gettin' us all Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow (Mother Nature) Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow (nature) Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow (sugar) Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow (sugar) Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow (sugar) Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow (nature) Da-un-do-dow dow, da-un-do-dow

I'm 61 and so glad I came up in the era that I did. I knew it was a special time but God I really miss it now!👊
