Brilliant lyrics in a brilliant song. “We’ll find a speck of truth in each riddle”…. Todays music can’t even comprehend lyrics like that anymore let alone write them…..

One of his most underrated tunes. Ian and JT are singularly unique and occupy a special niche of greatness in the history of rock music.

I would like anyone in the universe to name an average or sub-par Jethro Tull album. They broke all norms and produced great music for a long time. In doing so they demonstrated what a multi-talented front man and suburb band are capable of. Pure genius!!

I have not heard this song for years.I too was a youngster when this came out.I also got into one of his shows for free,in the late 70s.They were on fire at that time. They sounded so great live.Probably the best Band in person that I have ever heard, and I have gone to many concerts.

Catarina P. Transportados en enorme cayuco con motor Evinrude de 35 hp; cigarro tamaño hoja, una cerveza cada uno, robadas de las cajas que solia mantener mi padre ji ji, este tema y que relax, a Dios J. Got me back, when as a teenager in the 70's, my father and I in El Salvador used to watch this very tune on T.V. In the early 80's my privilege got me to see them live in the United States, last show I saw them was in 2011. Love Ian and J.T., always my favorite.

All points to Ian Anderson, but the entire band is what made history. They were visionary, all of them. I've seen them twice, once in Vancouver in 1972 with Yes as the unknown opening band (ha) and later in Stockholm around 1985 in the Konserthuset a few days after I attended the Nobel ceremonies with king Karl Gustaf attending. It was an interesting juxtaposition. I do think they could have left the potted marigolds for Tull.

progressive rock from 1967 till the late 70s.....a decade of some of the best music in human history. Tull, ELP, Yes, Floyd, etc. Even the WHO still rocked. Everything from the 80s onwards simply sucks in comparison (with a few exceptions). I knew the end of the world was not far behind when Michael Jackson's "Thriller" upseated Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon as the world's top selling album. Tull was probably may favorite group in 77-79, love the Songs From The Woods release.

Indeed sir, I like a lot of new electronic music, some 80s synth (not listened for 7 years tho really), mostly dark techno/lo-fi - but nothing will ever compare to the music that we know and love from when we were alive. We were alive at the best time for music in the course of the whole of human history - this is in the top 5 for Summer's days.
