It's a well known fact the warior people of Mamluks (who came from the Caucasian steppes and moutains and who are the ancestors of Salikhov, khabib nurmagomedove...etc) formed the elite armies and knights of the Ayyubid Dynasty led by Saladin who faught the Crusader armies. Just to understand the warrior mentality that comes to these people naturally, listen to this conversation between a Chechen officer and a Russian officer over an army radio (They are fighting on the opposite sides). The chechen comander knew he could destroy the Russian unit, so he pleaded with him to spare the lives of his men and he accepted that they both should die but asked him to to think of the mothers of all those young lives under his command. Unfortunatlely, the Russian comander says his is under order and that he cannot disobey. And surely enough, the Russian unit gets completely destroyed. This is why I have so much respect for the people of the Caucasus. Because they are truely honourable people.
