I love seeing FUNCTIONAL planner examples! This is similar to how I use my weeks-I also use a digital calendar so I don’t use the monthly pages. I have the weeks Mega and am using some of the back pages for bullet journal type spreads. And there are so many pages they don’t feel “precious” and I can use them for notes and ink samples.

I use a Cousin, but this may have convinced me to use a Weeks as my pocket calendar for when I go out. I feel naked without a notebook when I leave the house. Also, I use the yearly grid for Birthdays (Blue ink), Anniversaries (Pink), and when annual subscriptions, like Prime, renew (Green). Thanks for the video! Have a great holiday!

I got into Hobinichi just a month ago, and only bought a plain navy A6 cover on discount. Fortunately a week after, I stumbled upon my local Muji, which had an A6 weeks journal, which I fit in my cover. The paper is FP friendly, and the system will cost $25 US. Wish me luck using it in 2024!

I bought the Tomitaro Makino weeks for 2024 and I can relate a lot about how gorgeous the covers are. I use my weeks for appointemnts and work, so the first column in the weeks view I use for appointment with some washi dots. Having the clear cover is a must for me.

I started using the Weeks this year and as the year progressed, so did the amount of things I was putting in the planner. I mark down deadlines for work using the weeks section, and the monthly section is for all events I have going on and scheduling my outside of work life. I haven't actually used the back grid section yet because I can't figure out what I want to use it for, however, I'm realizing now that maybe I could use it for lists because for some reason I struggle to make lists in any other type of notebook. Grocery lists material lists for work, I'm realizing now that I could have been using this all along for that. It's really helped me organize my life and free up my mind for other notebooks to be more for journaling Additionally, I do a little bit of extra journaling on the blank right side of every week's page, reflecting on the events of the week and writing down how I feel they went

The yearly section makes a good habit tracker if you're only tracking one or two habits. Color code each habit with a different pen. It's also good for a countdown like how many days do I have before my first draft is due because I can get the big picture in one glance.

I love my Techo weeks. I used it last year as my very first planner and ive learned and grown so much more in organizing and planning! The extra space in the back for notes came in handy way more than I had expected. So of course I ordered the 2024. I love the size because it keeps everything easy to find and forces me to be to the point in my writing. My 2023 Techo Weeks didnt have bookmarks so i used a sticky, but I love the new bookmarks in the 2024 that I have.

I'm the HR person at my job so I use the yearly part to remind me when different Quarters start, Spring hiring, inventory week, etc. You know the bigger events for a giant retail corporation. The monthly is what I use for things like Freight team appreciation week (and every dept appreciation week), our meetings that are always at the same time every month like monthly talent planning and our Monday dept supervisor/manager meeting, things of that nature. I do transfer them to the daily section to be able to schedule my actual day around those events, but I like having them in the larger sequence sections to get an eye for how to plan my month and bigger sections of my year. And I use the graph paper for notes during our meetings cuz I'll forget at least one thing if I don't write everything down too! There's just so much to do and a lot of it is very important and I don't have the luxury to say "Oh! Oops! sorry I totally forgot, I'll do it right now!" LOL!

I have a Cousin and a Weeks Mega, and I use the Weeks Mega as a reading journal. I realized a couple of years ago I wasn't reading nearly as much as I thought I was, and I wanted to build better habits for myself. The week spreads get an itemized account of what I read daily and in what format (print, digital, audio), and the graph pages throughout generally function as a commonplace journal for quotes from the books. Quotes that are especially poignant go into the weekly spread graph pages; everything else goes into the pages at the back. I note the start of each month's quotes in the index, which makes locating quotes for specific books very simple. I have 24 memo pages left for the remainder of December! This journal is also one of the ways that all my fountain pens (12) get plenty of love. I keep them all inked, and they all get used on at least a weekly basis in my reading journal. Certain quotes have even become linked in my brain with a particular pen or ink, helping me with general retention of the things I've read.

The weeks is my go-to work planner, too! I pretty much use the exact same method as Stephanie. I must say, I’m surprised you use a double-broad nib in it! I use fountain pens in mine too, but that grid is tiiiiiiny, so I usually go for F or EF. For 2024, I got the one with the olive leather cover and it’s gorgeous!

I got the Mother Weeks in 2022 as a low stakes journal to keep track of a rough year and was frustrated by what I considered to be the too small weekly grid. Switched to the A6 for 2023 (and picked up the Juzo Itami weeks as an afterthought). I like the Weeks better, I've barely used the A6. and am just Weeks for 2024 (Mother edition). Sometimes all I need is that little space, sometimes I over flow to the facing page, but I need the space to stretch out in the notes pages in the back (something the A6 does not have). I use the monthly for weather and sewing/book/reminders, the yearly spread for tracking pay periods and days off/big days at work. I like seeing the shape of my time and effort. Using a Campus A5 binder and copying onto A5 binder paper, I made myself a Weeks style planner for work (the binder stays open for easy notes and scribbles). The my Favorites ThingsList is very amusing, and FYI my favorite You Tuber is Jet Pens ;) 😘

I ordered my first JetPens order this year; I bought the Kokuyo Jibun Techo in A5. My end goal planner is to try the A5 Cousin, but I fell out of planning in 2023 so I didn’t want to invest in a book if I abandon it halfway and the Jibun looks like it has a lot of similarities I’m looking for. I feel like if I skip a day and don’t remember to back plan, it usually means I’ll give up on the planner. I’ve been checking my tracking number every few hours so here’s hoping it’ll be a productive year.

I got the Taro Okamoto Weeks for 2024. I've already started using it because the weekly spreads begin at the end of November 2023. I'd never had one before, but when I saw the one with Okamoto's art, I knew I had to have it. I wasn't even sure what I was going to use it for, but on the very first page of the weekly spreads there was a quote from Mr. Itoi about being able to identify good things. I thought it would be a fun exercise, and without realizing it, I started my first gratitude journal.

I was watching this on my TV, and had to jump to my phone to comment. My usual EDC is a kaweco pearl, a pilot frixion 3 pen, and the uni Jetstream 4+1 pen myself. The differing colors, erasability, and pencil are so nice to have in one. Glad to know someone out there has similar tastes!! I'm curious if people prefer the narrower travelers or week's sizes, versus something more wide like an a5. I always feel like I have much less paper in the narrower spreads...

I‘m using a Weeks Mega for personal stuff (organizing, planning, to do lists, commonplacing and journaling) and starting next year I‘m using a Weeks (One Piece) for work as well. My brain just loves this planner, so why change a running system? I try to be neatly in my personal planner (though I don‘t mind crossing out words when I did a mistake), but in my work planner I don‘t care, since it‘s entirely functional and I love it. I use the yearly view as a vacation tracker for my team, so I can anticipate when my workload will be a bit more since I‘ll be taking over some tasks over that time.

Weeks is a lot of fun squeezed into a tiny package, the annual page up front I track my medication and supplements. The back grid pages are more than enough for a while bunch of random things. I log media consumption, books, TV shows, movies with tiny pictures and a review. Also stick my fountain pen labels that I make for each pen in washi tape when I'm done with that fill so I can see which ones I used up through the year. I do wish the paper wasn't soooo cream colored through, only gripe.

I think there are a lot of people who would benefit from paper products like planners and such but are too caught up with thinking everything should be digital because it's somehow 'better'. I don't have anything like this but even a paper calendar is very useful and since ours is by the fridge, you can't miss it. If you haven't done already, maybe you could do a video on why physical writing is good for you and its benefits? We could all do with a digital detox!

This year, I bought the same cover Weeks as Stephanie because I thought it was cute, and I wanted to try using a vertical/weekly layout planner. For the first half of the year, my planning was all over the place, but now, in thelatter half, I’ve gotten quite the hang of it, I guess? 😅 I also like the Tomoe River paper, and I use my fountain pens extensively with it (I switch pens and inks for every month, lol). Aside from my FPs, I also use a Sarasa Nano in black and vermillion for finer details that I want to focus on (and don’t necessarily need to write in a sheen ink). I have a cute Pokemon Frixion multi pen that I use for my school events/tests because what do I know about my professors’/the university’s changing schedules, eh? 🥹🥹 For use: I got my first Weeks in hopes of it being my general/accompaniment planner for my Rollbahn diary, which I was using for school. I ended up using it a couple of times for fandom-related events-which inspired me to get another one again, for next year! In MEGA format!-until I ended up using it mostly for school because it’s lighter than the Rollbahn, and it gives me a glance of my workload for the week. I’ll probably get another Weeks for school, and keep the Rollbahn for general planning(a combination of school and fandom planners) next year
