Loving the memes 😂 With the previous tenants items, go through them and only keep what you will use. Throw out the rest. With the kitchen items left behind do the same but then give the rest to a good will place if there is one in Japan (I've never been there so I don't know if there's one lol). Nothing wrong with using items left behind. Just clean them 😄

Your edits are amazing 😂 I am literally crying laughing!!! Love seeing your personality in the video throughout. Also, you have a shopping problem 🤭 apartment looks great! I’d love to see a DITL or Routine once you’re actually in a groove after several months. I know you’re still adjusting. I hope your first week at school goes amazingly well and the kids are excited to meet you. I know you’ll be loved and well received wherever you go!!! Love you!!! ❤️🙏🏽🤗

I don’t know how long you been living in the apartment, but you should get rid of anything you’re not interested in keeping amongst your predecessors items. I think it was very helpful for him to have left things so since you don’t have to buy them and it’s expensive to buy many things in Japan. I can say from experience. But if you’re not using it, you should get rid of it.

A lot of products are for cleaning air conditioner and for bugs control, they are really useful for summer. Plus alla the pots and kitchen things he can just wash and use. I think it’s just waste.

This is so cozy! Perfect space, and a nice bathroom with enough space to feel comfortable. I'm 20 years old from Norway, but it's my dream to learn Japanese and move there for Japanese Language School soon, so I've been looking at many apartment video's and trying to find a nice, cozy, and affordable place. This really ticked off all my preferences in a living space. Why was such a place so cheap for rent? Did you have a contract that helped you pay? Or have I maybe missed this information or you didn't say, but I wonder if it was empty before you moved in? So it was expensive to buy all the furniture perhaps? Not to be "stalkery" but could I ask just about where this area is? I'd like to take a look if there are any close JP Language Schools nearby. I'd be very thankful to receive some answers as I am in true wonder if this kind of living could be possible for me to achieve, haha!

It's funny that people make such a big deal about the entrance ways in Japan. We also have them in the U.S, we've never worn our shoes in the house. We take our shoes off in the garage. They don't even come in the house.

You keep saying that your predecessor is a "he" but based on the bathroom leftovers, I would guess that it's a girl. Not sure a guy would spend that much on the shampoo/conditioner. Also the other 2 buttons on the bidet controls the water pressure (stronger or weaker) and angle (forward or backward).

Incrivel como apartamentos/casas de estrangeiros vivendo no japão ou na coreia são mais organizados do que o dos nativos. Digo, organizado no sentido de ter móveis práticos, das coisas estarem em lugares faceis de usar e em um ordem.

Your predecessor is supposed to ask if you want to keep their stuff....why is his stuff still there. That's a no no. Note: speaking as a former JET.

@@zacharoundtheworld that is just rude, I'm sorry so you have to go through this Zach. (Usually your ALT representative/boss at the Education office is suppose to check to ensure your room only has the stuff you paid or asked for. ) Actually in Japan getting rid of your stuff is costly and expensive so I'm sure that's why he did that but there is still no excuse. Now you have double the amount to clean when you leave. If you leave your stuff and his there for the next person, the place won't be livable. I dont understand why some people can be so inconsiderate. Hopefully I get to meet you in person one day. Being that I really want to go back on JET next year.

@@annacampbell5463“that’s rude”? “ so sorry you have to go through that“!? “The place won’t be livable”?! Surely you’re joking. What is the big deal? If he doesn’t want it just throw it out. This is not a life and death crisis and the predecessor was considerate to leave him so many things to use. You come into an empty apartment and have to buy everything from scratch, and you don’t know the language or where to buy things? He should be thankful for his predecessor’s consideration. Speaking as a former JET/MEF from Kyushu from many years ago…. If that’s your biggest complaint, then you’ve got nothing to complain about.
