To add to your catch radius point: it's incredible how his range makes all of his catches look so comfortable. Even the play you showed with him on the safety; above his head, away from his frame AND he didn't break stride grabbing it and he just looks so fluid and comfortable at the catch point whether low and behind or high and ahead. Add separation and honestly his comp goes from Giesiki to Marc Andrews/George kittle in the air game. I didn't expect a TE but I'm pumped for this

He was 138 on the consensus big board. That’s a 4th round pick. He’s got a specific skill set and isn’t much of a blocker. In this TE class, people didn’t want to take the risk on an older prospect coming off an ACL

Only going off this video and some other highlights but I do like what I am seeing . We have not had a tight end game for years lol. So if he can even do half of this for us then we got our guy lol. I been a die hard fan and I can honestly name a handful of good seasons by tight ends we have had but besides becht who has actually been a jet tight end long enough? He is a rookie but there is no pressure cause last year was our best year throwing to that position in years 😅 so anything is better .

Hes got nice moves and measurables, however there are a few concerns (2) that pop out to me. 1.competition level. These moves might not translate to better talent opposition. 2. He seems to jump for the ball when not necessary. In the nfl that shit dont fly. Qbs and coaches hate that almost as much as 1 handed catches. Hope hes good but im tempering my expectations

Let’s be real here there’s a reason he scored that perfect and still somehow was pick 220. A great athlete don’t make you a great football player and he has never been great. It’s pure projection of an idea that hasn’t happened yet. If 9.3 yer per catch is what we are pumped for that’s not enough and that’s why he was a 7th round pick. His RAS score doesn’t show up on film or for his team production wise. Wasn’t even playing top talent and still barely stood out only because of size not skill

This guy doesn’t play like he should at his size and ability to move as an athlete. Just never happened yet. Hopefully it does but at the next level everyone is a better athlete. Kuntz was ranked significantly higher than Pat in that recruiting class coming in. He was just out worked and out played. Kuntz was the 4th ranked TE in nation and it never happened yet. Let’s hope it does.

Here's my only problem: The Jets, like all the other NFL teams, don't give these undrafted free agents any respect and very few reps. Often times you'll have better players on the bench or even on the practice squad than you will on the field because the guy on the field was drafted in the first few rounds and is being paid a lot more money. Coaches and owners don't want to be proven wrong. Look at Bam, Zonovan Knight. UFA, demoted to the practice squad, and it wasn't until injuries occurred that he was brought up and he went out and killed it. They march Zach Wilson out there for two years, stinking the joint up when they have Mike White sitting on the bench. Now White isn't a franchise qb, but he's way better than Wilson. But they drafted Wilson #2, so they have to keep marching him out there. I hope Kuntz gets an honest shot at making the team, but I'm not holding my breath.

I can't put into words how upset I am at my team for not drafting this guy, but I will try. The Saints not only went into this draft needing a tight end, they traded their young prospect Adam Trautman whom they used 4 picks to get just 3 seasons earlier & a 7th round pick for a 6th round pick. Did they use it to get Kuntz? No, that would have been too intelligent. Instead they got a receiver. Now they have a guy who's an undrafted free agent & a guy who is presently being treated for cancer as their tight end corp. How stupid is that? I am in complete agreement with this narrator's evaluation with one exception. I believe Zach Kuntz will not only be the steal of this draft, He will be an all time top ten draft steal.

In only one do they tie: 23 bench reps a piece, but guess who's got the longer arms? The guy's a decathlete. I don't know if you understand what "athletic" means.
