If Woody empowers Glenn and stay out of this, Glenn will be fine. I like that Parcells told him to be a scout 1st, talent evaluation, before becoming a coach. That is very promising. He's been around other Parcells guys like Sean Payton in New Orleans & Denver and that will definitely help. Now the GM has to give him guys, esp. a QB (post-Rodgers). You Jets fans should love how Glenn conducted himself today.

I've been watching football for over sixty years. The officiating sucked when I started watching and it still sucks, if anything, worse now. Back then, the money savings by having Insurance Salesmen officiate on the weekends was significant. Now, it's pocket change you find under the cushions on your couch. So its not that. Bottom line is, due to how the NFL is so uniquely suited to betting, the league has gotten more popular every year for those sixty years. You can't improve on success. Nobody is going to change the officiating. If you change it, it would have to be for personal pride in the product you are presenting. There obviously is none as no one can bother lifting their heads from the trough to care enough.

Mike youre better than this. Acting like bad calls or great teams getting all the breaks hasn't been a thing in the past. 20 years ago we didn't have all of these angles and instant replay and social media to highlight it all. Not saying the chiefs don't get the bounces but I agreed with your take the other day. If you're the bills and want to overcome all of this, don't rely on a qb sneak every time for a yard and let it come down to a close call.
@30RonJon2 күн бұрын
don't rely on a qb sneak every time for a yard and let it come down to a close call. Agree 100%. If you want to beat the champs, go in and beat them convincingly. Don't rely on a left foot right foot spot on a 4th down QB sneak.

At this point, I do not think this is a mere officiating problem; if the refs were simply incompetent, then I would feel like any team could be the beneficiary of a bad call. Instead, these calls in big spots always benefit the Chiefs, and in a world where Taylor Swift is a primary focus of every Chiefs game, commercials with Chiefs players litter ad breaks, and sports betting is normalized and celebrated by the NFL itself, it is really difficult for me to believe that the league is fair at this point. For the record, I am neutral towards the Chiefs and hate the Eagles.
