I liked Zach Wilson. Wish he could have sat his first 3 years behind someone like Rodgers. Highlights was his game against the Titans in year one when he threw bombs to Corey Davis, his franchise record TD run, and his game against Pat Maholmes where he outplayed him.

I’m sure u remember 2 years ago against the Pats when he back peddled and threw an interception straight up in the air for grabs! In any game I played in as a kid on the street w/ my friends or playing high school ball, I can’t remember when any one who played QB, threw a ball 🏈 up in the air like that! It was sickening to watch. Then if u watched Zach run off the field, he had no emotion in him whatsoever. Many can agree or disagree on Zach Wilson! But we are not any better today than we were yesterday. I loved Zach Wilson‘s talent, I arm strength and mobility which cannot be coached and should be developed. Shame on the team for trading him. I’m so glad we have a sixth round pick now. This is why we are poorly franchise. The team listens to the media and that’s who runs the franchise. Not the GM or owner.

Why is it more likely that Zach will fail with the Broncos this season? Why do so many fans forgive the Jets’ organization and the team failing him, then blame Zach for being the real failure here? Ryan, the team busted his development over ZW being more so a bust. I’m happy for the kid getting out of Jets hell and possibly getting to play with a real offense centric head coach.

I think as a Packers fan I can understand the struggles the kid had but like had he had a veteran QB after the 2021 season, it woulda helped Wilson become more NFL ready 2 seasons later to where Jets fans could see that BYU Zach Wilson perform! Part of this I don’t get to fully understand just cuz Jets aren’t necessarily a primary team for GB fans to even worry about but like do ya think if the Jets had much better QB coaching or something that could have helped the Jets develop QBs better so that a QB can lead your team to the post season? Again this is just something I’m putting out there in perspectives that Wilson deserved better than the Jets in a way of he’s in a right place now to where he will learn and develop under Payton

Ryan, I think the worse trade was the trade up for Darnold. More so because we gave up I believe 3 2s to move up. Imagine if we stayed and picked a QB where we were and then used those 3 2s on OL. Hopefully Douglas makes all the right moves this draft. We need another great draft from him

I actually criticized the draft pick at the time by saying that he won't actually be a Jet before he is good. I mistakenly was persuaded into the Kyle Pitts camp on draft day although I was really a Jamar Chase fan. Without Wilson you really don't want to see Brock Bowers. So you kinda tipped me that trading up for Marvin Harrison Jr is the right thing to do. You argue that giving up a future second round pick is too much. Trading for Aiyuk or Jefferson might not cost a second round pick but you already got $150 million to commit to them. So trading Zach Wilson frees up a lot of cap space to trade late round picks for veterans. Maybe we get Harrison Jr and Tee Higgins in a double trade up and still manage to pull Brendan Rice in the fourth round. I really wanted Zach to sit behind Rodgers and then become better than Jordan Love. Maybe we can keep Becton cheaper as a backup and add Jamal Adams to be the Safety. Maybe Zach squirms back to us cheaper after a year away. His next contract should have been the hometown discount that allows you to get a extra superstar.
