Yes it's preseason but the last three games the Oilers have played have shown that there need to be some huge cuts to the roster. There may come a time when many of those players cut from this preseason roster will make it in the NHL for longer in the future.

@@DS-hs3qp There's no doubt the Oilers will have to make cuts but considering the performances that team has put in over the last three games, I'm sure many fans of that team will hope those cuts will come within hours. Losing by country miles to two different teams clearly shows just how many players who got to play in those games have work to do in the minors or via major-junior teams to even have a chance of playing in the NHL perhaps much later on this regular season if that.

@@DS-hs3qp Yes it's preseason but anyone who got to play in any of the last three games, if not a mainstay on the Oilers roster, likely is seeing his time up at the NHL level numbered although more of those roster cuts may come as soon as within the next few hours. Three straight losses by country miles to two different teams, with two of those losses blowout ones, is plenty of evidence that so many of those players invited to training camp have a lot of work to do in the coming months to come closer to earning longer-term spots at the NHL level.
