I think I ran into you or one of your buddies at Hogg's Tackle in Hillsboro before they closed shop. I do kayak fishing in the ocean, and fish Depoe Bay, PC, Columbia, etc... Have you ever tried a beach launch from PC (Cape Kiwanda) on flat surf day (southbound swell)?

Hogg's was a great place. A couple of guys have beach launched and do so from time to time. I have once and I personally prefer a ramp.
