Jetski the Shiawassee - River of Death

Very interesting, having grown up in Michigan, this was interesting to hear. Despite these horrible stories, Michigan was a wonderful state to grow up in, the eastern mid bottom peninsula area. I'm familiar with these rivers, but have not known some of the very sad history of them. Michigan has a lot of beautiful outdoor areas with a lot of fun and interesting things to do, but like any place, I guess, you have to be aware and careful whenever you're out and about enjoying it.

The Shiawassee snakes through many urban areas, which naturally draws people to it for fishing, swimming and boating. Also, being over 100 miles long, with many tributaries, adds to its use by people, just because of its length. Per mile, it's not any more dangerous than other rivers. It's a beautiful boat ride that I've made many times with my jet ski! I look forward to next spring! - Rod

Matter of fact he was probably in Owosso visiting my parents before. They testified to it in the case. I feel sorry for his daughter who was my childhood friend.
