Deep water offshore Jet-ski fishing adventure, electric reel fishing at 1,300 feet deep.

Part one of my latest road trip Sea-Doo adventure, fishing of my FISHPRO Trophy in New Zealand.
With a 5am start for the car drive, towing the Trophy on the @GFABTRAILERS from Auckland up to the Far North for my base for a couple of days.
Beach launching in the harbour with a short ride out to the local fishing grounds before heading out 55 kilometres from the mainland to the deepwater fishing grounds.

Yes it’s easily added, it is the identical windshield from the Explorer Pro and can be installed by yourself in a few minutes. Note the original Fish Pro Road Cover will no longer fit once installed, you would require the Explorer Pro road cover.

Hey Andrew. Great vid as always! Quick question please, does the rear roller on your GFAB trailer pivot or is it fixed? In the vid it looks like it is fixed (but angled). If so, no issue with beach retrieval if it is fixed? Thanks!

Hi, the electric rod and reel is located in the heavy duty triple rod holder that mounts to where the wake pole option normally fits. It’s easily secures to the factory fittings, order at jetskifishing.co.nz/products/ultimate-seadoo-heavyduty-rodholder-rack

The rod holder for the bent butt deep rod , Does it go into the seat mount ? Is there a special attachment? I just bought a new 24 Fish pro trophy and will fish offshore for tuna this may be perfect for trolling with a heavy bent butt rig . Thank you. Cool video.

Hi just a quick question. What sort of fishing line do you use for fishing in the ocean not knowing what your going to catch how do you choose the write line ?.

Hi Jeff Happy to help, for my general soft bait fishing I use a spinning reel soft bait set to catch Snapper with 20 lbs braid/line. For the deep water fish with the electric reel, I am using 80 lbs braid.

@@jetskifishing I don’t get out to the ocean living in central Canada. It’s all fresh water fishing up here. That braided line must be strong stuff. Good luck with the fishing those were cool fish you caught.
