If they want experience from the other divisions they might as well send Japanese Australian to work the flight you are on in return a Japanese trainee can work Jetstar Australia Network that meant flying to the United States Hawaii. If you notice they don't do Hand loading instead they do bulk loaded by container. My mum almost lost her bags in Sydney Kingsford Smith from Perth because they failed to unload the bags

Ah....B/E a.k.a. Collins Pinnacle seats. Identifiable cuz SQ 737s (non-MAX), BA, and Citilink also use it. Common choice amongst LCCs other than the Spectrum and Recaro SL3510s. Anyway, did the crew still do the safety demo only in Japanese? I'm just wondering how on earth will the non-Japanese speakers understand it...especially if they're in exit rows. But well, some of my AirAsia flights only had Malay-only safety demo.

What is the difference between Jet Star Japan and Jet Star Australia?They are not under the same company?(Just curious)
@JaydenWong5 ай бұрын
it'll appear the same for the travelling public. Similar business structures too. They have different owners. Jetstar Australia is 100% Qantas'. Jetstar Japan is a joint venture between Qantas, JAL and Tokyo Century Corporation. Jetstar Japan was established to save JAL from bankruptcy over a decade ago, and speed up its recovery
@Henry_Nuku5 ай бұрын
@@JaydenWong thanks for answering my question.Hope to see more videos soon🙌❤️🔥
@yo2trader5394 ай бұрын
@@JaydenWong I don't think it had anything to do with JAL's debt-equity swap in 2010. It was established during a time when LCCs were emerging globally, but JAL and ANA (nor Japanese airports) didn't have much know-how to operate LCCs. JAL's chairman at the time (Mr. Inamori) was against starting a new airline. Domestic airfares has always been relatively inexpensive in Japan, so it hasn't been an easy ride for LCCs. Jetstar Japan still lost money in fiscal year ending June 2023. Currently JAL group has 3 subsidiaries that are LCCs, but JAL seems to be far more interested in expanding Zipair, judging from its capital structure, employees, routes, and planes. Spring Japan (春秋航空日本) is a JV and JAL has 2/3 stake, while JAL has 50% ownership in Jetstar Japan, and 100% ownership of Zipair.
@JaydenWong4 ай бұрын
@@yo2trader539 to put in simply, it was more to do with Qantas doesn't want JAL to end up in Skyteam because Delta wanted to buy them. CX was reluctant and AA wasn't doing well at that time (chapter 11). So Qantas stepped in by 'opening' a LCC for JAL because LCC was cash cow then.
@yo2trader5394 ай бұрын
@@JaydenWongYour interpretation is unrealistic in Japanese business environment. JAL was a state-run enterprise until the full privatization in the late 1980s, meaning that they are a protected national flag carrier which will never be allowed to be purchased by a foreign company. Japan has a capital control law that can restrict any foreign investment. Delta or Qantas is quite irrelevant for Japan, especially as there is limited traffic between Australia and Japan. If you look at top inbound and outbound destinations, Australia isn't even in the top 10. Jetstar Japan is money-losing venture, so I presume it will be terminated in the near future. LCC business model cannot absorb the rising cost of labor, fuel, and pilot shortage. You probably noticed that Virgin Australia will also end their Haneda & Cairns route. Their route choice, the 737 plane...none of it made much sense. I just can't imagine a Japanese customer will fly a narrow body plane to Cairns. If it's an Australian passenger flying to Japan for transit or tourism, it should be Tokyo, Osaka, or Sapporo for snow, and departing from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, or Perth.
