There was a few other guys further back in the pack exploiting that inside cut that sexton was taking but ironically, once Sexton started going to the berm on the outside in that turn, that ended up being the fastest line. Also it was the main place where he was making up time on Jett. Also one other thing that I think people should know, that last time that Deegan went off track right before the huge table was caused by a rider blowing the turn and making the rut lead off the track. I was sitting in that turn at the time and literally every single rider that didn't take the inside rut went off the track in the same fashion and only 1 or 2 checked up and didn't hit the table. It stayed that way until Joey Savatgy came through and had enough foresight to see the rut leading off the track and he actually took the time to pop his front wheel out of the rut and fight his way out as his back wheel was essentially cross rutting on the exit of the corner. It was kind of a minor detail but it was cool to see the veteran experience of Joey kick in after another 20 or so riders all missed it and just looked up like "woah I'm off the track lol" I'm sure they would've sorted it out the next lap but Joey caught it on the fly first time around. Also with that hop out of the rut, it cut in enough of a line for the next guy through to be able to stay on track no problem.

He really is. The crazy thing is Chase is insanely good. Wrecking the field by 40sec. Jett is just a little better so it gets lost how good Chase is. Their technique is poetry to watch

Ha, now there's a name i haven't heard for a long time. The Australian legend Stephen Gall, ha watching him race was like wow! And then afterwards thinking I should go go back to push bike riding! Fun fact. I ended up buying a bike he used to ride . It was a hybrid sort of bike made I believe for the Australian finke desert race back in the day. It was if my memory serves me correctly a yz250 frame with yz465 suspension IT465 gearbox yz465 top end etc. And boy was it a beast. It scared the shit out of me and anyone that was riding behind me! The boulders it would fling.. I loved that bike. Sadly I forgot whether i sold it or just left it at some friend at the time place. I got into the new honda xr350 front brake disc era four stroke.. That's another story... I miss that Hybrid. Oh and my kx125 the first year rear unilink era... I would have hung them up over my bed! Sorry for my reminisce ranrt... im old...

I was at the race. Watching Jett hit the dragons back/ roller section you could tell he was visually faster. The amount of speed in a straight line was well above everyone else. But it seemed like Chase would catch him in the corners just a bit. Maybe Jett was just taking it easy, "80%" and all.

Do you know if they ride the boots “out of the box” without being worn and broken in? Me personally I need to ride new footwear for a couple of days at least until I get the feel.

Jetts wheelie tap jump line was cool but I agree with Hunter I don't think it was faster over the length of that straight section because he couldn't get the down side. I thought as that rut kicker developed and got deeper I thought he would get the down side eventually but he couldn't.

What’s crazy is how him Hunter and Chase were all battling moto 2 and running low 2:27s and high 2:26s and then Chase gets by Hunter and Jett and Chase dropped the fucking hammer and dropped 3 seconds to run 2:23s and 24s and that was later in the race.

Notice everybody is trying to wheel tap the best they can? If you want to just lean back and wheel tap like Jett, raise your bars. You will thank me later. Want to lean harder? Widen your bars. You will thank me later. It's all leverage. If you want to push the bike around, widen your levers (bars). It will offset any weight you need to wrangle. Raise your lever (bars) if you want to float the front (lean them back accordingly), and widen your lever (bars) if you want to lean the bike over. It's not magic, it's leverage. If you are light like me, raise em a bunch. It works. Ty Johnny. Great vid as always.

@@dstedy Sadly what I just recommended cost at least $120 bucks just to try. So many can't even try weight distribution setup. The taller your bars, the more you can move your bars (and weight) forwards and back to find where you need to be on the bike for your weight. Bars these days cost a ton and are so low there's very little adjustment. The bikes don't need to get taller (obviously), but the lever you need to move it around does.

What they and Yamaha did to that kid at Loretta Lynn’s, that follow the rules and was trying to buy Deegans Yamaha race bike Bike was extremely wrong, and all those adults involved should be shamed publicly. Can we talk about how absolutely horrible the tv coverage was in the 250 class? Both motos we had deegan and kitchen around 1 second to 2 max the entire race and battling for the lead and instead of watching the lead battle we had to watch the 3 guys battle for like 7th or 8th place for a good 10+ minutes straight. Same thing moto 2 and finally when it got down to like 2-3 mins left Stewart FINALLY said something and they switched over immediately to them.. but then went right back to the damn battle for like 5th place or whatever it was. If the leader is way out front, cool, show some battles a little further back, whatever. But when there is a legit battle going on out front, they should be on them the entire time. They have the split screen they can do if they want to show another battle so I don’t understand why we missed basically the lead battle in both motos almost the entire race. This isn’t something new either, it was the exact same shit in supercross. Someone needs to talk to peacock and whoever is handling the streaming and tell them to KEEP THE LEAD BATTLE ON THE FUCKING SCREEN!
