Hello Julia from a very stormy Hamilton New Zealand our biggest airport Auckland had to close down because of flooding on the runways so many flights had to found other airport to land. I never check it but someone set the alarm on the radio in our room for like three in the morning! 😳😳😳 So there’s my tip be sure and check and make sure the alarm is not set.!! good to know flight attendants always start (im sure there are some rare cases where maybe they gotta fly to their first flight of their shift, maybe to cover for someone) and end where they live in terms of work. But thats crazy that you could work 4 days straight. obviously not one flight after another. you must have your own layover type.

You are spot on regarding the cost of airport food. I know prices these days are higher than what we're used to. But would Costa Rica allow outside food?

They usually don't! So I ate all the food I bought on the plane before we landed :)

To anyone who is trying to get a job as a FA, evidence is many more apply that there are openings. One person I tried to reply to I wanted to pass along advice from my Dad. Go to interviews, even if you do not want the job, so you gain experience for when that ideal job opens up you will interview better. Unfortunately, not everyone is a good match for some jobs. Someone who is 300 pounds is not getting hired as a jockey, so do not take it personally. Some interview questions are hard. Always be truthful but learn good answers.
