I'm going to try the Monkidori version, but I have been playing Gardevoir quite a bit online and really like a copy of damage pump. I just remove one counter and can now get to 110/120 hp on Drifloon w/ bravery charm for a 360 dmg attack attaching 6 emergy. Or 5 energy if you can move that counter to Drifloon from something else; not uncommon if you use Gardevoir to attach to retreat. Honestly idk why I don't see more lists with just 1 damage pump. I've had a lot of success with it. Even if I need to knock out 3 Charizards. 1st can be with bravery charm and pump, then hero's cape, and luxurious cape. Usually don't have to though as I can boss up something else like Pidgeot or Rotom V. It allows me to hold the cape until later though.

I see a lot of these Gardevoir ex decks but most of them don’t run Radiant Greninja. That card has saved my bacon more times than I can count. When Kirlia is gone, it is a very good draw engine that gets me back in the game.

14 mins I was screaming as you could have benched Munki, attached a dark energy, retreated Manaphy to Gardevoir, added energy to Gardevoir (and Manaphy for the reatreat btw), used Munki to move the damage counters and then KO with the Gardevoir attack as the Survival Brace would not have worked (as no longer on full health).

This is great man thanks. I'm still struggling to play gardy against some of the new decks but this helps.

Gardevoir is one of the harder decks to play! It may take some time to get a feel for it and even then it simply may not very the right fit for your play style, but it’s certainly a deck worth fighting for 💪
@StrikerZero5256 ай бұрын
Hi! Love your videos since they help me out on my own deck building. Munkidori wasn't really seen much in this video though and was wondering if it really is a big change since his role can be switched with Damage Pump if you want to push 330 damage. Sniping the backline could help but that seems too specific of an opportunity for only 30 damage. Also, is it worth more to have Prime Catcher and Roxanne to have more chances of sniping 2 prizers instead of Unfair Stamp?
@InThirdPerson6 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching the vids! Just because I didn’t use Munkidori much isn’t necessarily indicative of its overall value. I only have a finite amount of time to get match footage for each video and it’s not uncommon for me to not be able to showcase everything a deck can do in that time. If I were to finesse videos to showcase everything a deck could do based on matches with random opponents online, it would take forever to make anything. That said, yes, Munkidori is a big deal for Gardevoir. It is now a staple of the deck and literally every instance of Gardevoir on Limitless tournaments has Munkidori and likely will until at least Shrouded Fable releases. play.limitlesstcg.com/decks/gardevoir-ex-sv?format=standard&rotation=2023&set=TWM There are multiple reasons why Munkidori is preferred over Damage Pump: - Munkidori can move damage on multiple turns while Damage Pump only moves damage once per item. - Munkidori moves damage from your Pokemon to their Pokemon, vs. Damage Pump moving damage between your Pokemon. Beyond adjusting the damage threshold of your Pokemon, you can actually move damage to your opponent’s active or bench to then soften it up for the immediate attack or a future attack. As an example, Munkidori can move damage from Drifloon to Teal Mask Ogerpon, dropping Ogerpon’s HP to 180 and now making it a 1-hit KO for Drifloon on the next turn without Bravery Charm or other HP modifier. You’re free to build your Gardevoir deck however you like. But based on the reasons above and current tournament results, Munkidori is the preferred way to play for most. As for Prime Catcher, referring to the Limitless data, no one is running that in Gardevoir right now. Almost everyone runs Unfair Stamp and a few run Hyper Aroma. The reason no one runs Prime Catcher is that Counter Catcher is sufficient as an item-based gusting option, especially since Gardevoir likes to play from behind. Relying on Counter Catcher for item-based gusting frees up the Ace Spec spot for Unfair Stamp, which is a better Roxanne that can be played at any point after a knockout and doesn’t use your supporter for turn. That’s where things have landed at the moment. If you truly feel you’ve got the sauce though, show us how it’s done! Decks change all the time and maybe you’ve found something the community has missed.

is a bit slower since the opponent can get 2 attacks off before you get to gardy, but can open up more plays like using arven or another support more offensively and if you manage to stabilize, it can be good, personally tho I think secret box is better in case you get something like arven and 3 energy in hand, or "useless" mons for the matchup, like mimikyu against ancient box, secret box could help more like teching temple of sinnoh for lugia or getting town store to remove jamming tower

I just recently started playing the TCG and I love your videos, I’m curious, why run counter catcher instead of Boss? They do the same thing and boss doesn’t have the prize card requirement. I’m sure I’m just missing something lol Editing to say I missed that you are running boss as well but I’m still curious since I’ve seen a lot of people only run counter catcher.
@UziOmega6 ай бұрын
I recently started playing Gardevoir too, and I believe it's because Trainer cards can only be used once per turn and it makes conflict with other Trainers like Arven or Iono, while Item cards can be used whenever you want no matter the type.
@JosephRHaven6 ай бұрын
@@UziOmega oh that makes so much sense idk how I missed that lol thank you!
@InThirdPerson6 ай бұрын
Counter Catcher being an item gives you the flexibility to gust and play another supporter during the same turn. Furthermore, because it’s a stage 2 deck that is inherently slower to set up, you’re most likely going to start the game from behind. This leads perfectly into using Counter Catcher as your primary gusting card. I still like to run 1 Boss in case I’m tied or ahead on prizes, but I’m not surprised to hear some players only use Counter Catcher in Gardevoir for the above reasons.

Hi I’m abit confused with the ground type orgerpons ability because it says prevent all damage done if the opponent’s Pokémon has an ability does it just shut of ability’s because yesterday I played against a mimikyu with the ex and v ability but it could still attack ground ogerpon
@InThirdPerson6 ай бұрын
Mimikyu's attack drops damage counters. Not damage. Those are two different things and one of the weird quirks of the Pokemon Trading Card Game to keep tabs on. Damage and Damage Counters are technically two different ways of inflicting damage. Cornerstone Ogerpon only blocks damage.

As someone who bought the Gardevoir ex LBD last week to try and get into the Pokemon TCG scene (I have no prior cards before this purchase), to update the vanilla deck with these upgrades, is it more efficient to buy them as singles or rather invest in ETB's / boosters?

I think people like it because it helps enable the opportunity to use a different ace spec than hero's cape. Damage pump can enable you to hit for 360dm with Drifloon and bravery charm too. Idk why I don't see that in more lists, I've had success with it.
