In all seriousness, Jett, because of you, I went back into my storage to find my Bakugan and collect more. Wasn’t invited, and didn’t know it was happening! Though TBH I’m not sure if I would’ve attended or not. No slander to anyone involved. I think the (alleged) cancellation is too recent for a grassroots ‘bring it back’ campaign to have any effect. If the bigwigs thing it needs to rest, maybe it does… And unless the creative direction of the brand turns around hard and fast (which would be uncommon to do without yet another reboot), I might agree with the bigwigs.

Honestly, I still love the Deka Bakugans for the sake of having a big bakugan. I’m not someone who played the game, so I didn’t have to worry about using them. I think the deka bakugan are probably best as display pieces that happen to be robust toys were enough for my child mind to be excited, and the deka battle gear and Neo Dragonoid Vortex that are not only bigger versions of some of my favorite toys, but actually function (much better than the normal size in Vortex’s case) was enough to make me want them. Also, god if I got a DraThron when I was a kid, I would’ve thought it was the coolest thing in the world. And I still think it’s the coolest of the capstone bakugan.

when thinking about kids and the toy market remember that it's often given as a gift from an adult. If an unknowable adult sees the toy as the better option, it can have a fair shot in the market. ultimately the kid is what asks for the toy but strangely it is better for the toy company if the kid asks for something and the kid isn't satisfied with the first gift, they will keep asking for the one they actually want. at least that's a theory.
