A fun fact about the cartoon: The show literally had a total of 5 voice actors. Each voiced one of the five leads, and were all spread out amongst the various antagonists and supporting characters, except for Karen Strassman. Since Jinja was the only girl on the team, that also meant she voiced literally every other female character in the show. It's quite a testament to the whole cast's talent that they were able to showcase that much range. Methinks a lot of the budget went into marketing and merchandising, so condensing the show's cast helped save costs where they could

I remember watching the monsuno show when I was younger, I think more than Bakugan the more I think about it. I just found the little marbles cooler I guess. A real shame that this line died the way it did. Maybe the new Bakugan reboot will possibly make Jacks Pacific think of making a reboot of the toy line themselves.
@mistermann41632 жыл бұрын
I remember watching the show but thought that some episodes did better than others when it came to the monsters themselves given that they were just seen as that and no real connection was made with the humans like other shows of this genre. There was also the antagonists where I though the yellow team was the more interesting faction compared to the reds since they were a organized military unit which created the monsters for warfare. Last episode I watched was when the main lead had the detonator to purge the monsters along with the crystal that made them from there world which would prevent the destruction of earth as a whole. With him just chucking it in the water saying that there's possibly another way to prevent that without ending the monsters.
@marcelosandoval87192 жыл бұрын
That's neat I think air Monsuno again is a good Start, the animation is pretty solid actually I even compare it to Avatar the last Airbender... The toys and game could have been better developed in my opinion. Very good overall. I personally still love this franchise and hope they do something with it in the future. I absolutely love the world-building and intricate species lore for this forgotten toyline! 💕 I'm still so surprised that my 20~ year old Xevoz figure still has super firm joints and I saw how other collectors with their own Xevoz figures have also equally aged well with their joints! There still is a very small but passionate collector base for Xevoz figures and stumbling across their niche review blogs are so much fun to look into, but it truly breaks my heart to see how such a well made Stikfas-adjacent toyline failed so badly 😭💔 EVEN THE ELUSIVE TIE-IN COMIC FAILED AFTER ONE ISSUE 😫

I feel that the price point they were asking for Monsuno also hurt them, but I do know I liked them. However, the best item in the entire line is one that came during Combat Chaos, or in other words, after the toyline had died. The Multi-Bomb. While I'm not entirely certain on its function, it had a spinning top that could be loaded up with 8 Monsuno that would launch while it turned, and you were supposed to strike a pad at the base with your own core to pop the top open until all four panels opened up. Honestly, I still hope Jakks has the molds around and reuses it as a 'boss' for the Sonic line they've got going, but I doubt they will.

monsuno could possibly make a comeback, both beyblade and bakugan are back as strong if not stronger than they were before

This was a fun little deep dive. I think the only thing I would have liked to know a little more about were some of the rules? But that might just be me as whenever I see older games like this I can't help but wonder how they work.

I was /close/ to diving into the gameplay more, but like… with three different versions of the game, and me never having gotten to play, there wasn’t any space for it. Maybe some day!

That ending message was inspirational, I’m gonna pick up my tcg again today and develop it further. Thank you JettKuso ^-^ Also thanks for the video, never knew what Monsuno was until now

11:25 Am I the only one who digs how you portrayed the "Multi-Launcher", with screams and fire sounds, scary slow-mo and "One-Winged Angel" (not even the Advent Children, Remake or Crisis Core versions, but the original "One-Winged Angel") playing in the background to really sum up its sinister presence.

I only ever had 2 Wild cores, thought they were pretty cool. What I loved about ‘em is that in-person, once they really got spinning it really looked like there was a glowing orb in the center, no joke!

I had two Monsunos when I was younger, they were so much fun just to spin

Ninjago spinners was such a genius idea, i would mix in old lego to make OP combos. I even used lego technic to turn it into a motorized lego beyblade.

I just randomly found this video in my home page and after watching it I had a huge blast of nostalgia from it, I remember actually getting some of the monsuno stuff in this video and I think a episode or 2 of the show

The best thing about Monsuno was the opening of the show.
