Great review! We'd like to help clarify something you mentioned in video for the viewers and offer a recommendation on how to get the most out of these air purifiers. 1) The UV-C light feature kills bacteria and viruses as air passes through the filters. The light it located inside the unit. It doesn't send light rays out into the air. Either way its completely safe for humans! 2) It's best to keep these air purifiers at least 24 inches away from the wall or solid surfaces. That way, polluted air from the entire room can more easily be pulled through the unit and fresh air can be pushed back in. Hope this helps! Both of these are great products.
@jasoncrawford14895 жыл бұрын
"Either way its completely safe for humans!". Hmmm. That sounds misleading. It's safe to irradiate the air before it returns to the room. It's not safe to irradiate air while it's in a space where humans might pass. So only "one way" is safe. Fortunately this device seems to do it the safe way.

"UV-C light , if human eye contact directly then it's harm to human's eye, skin, if this uv-c have a ozone, then it's harm to human lung" hopefully, UV-C light inside cannot see the lamp, and no ozone uv-c light version. then it will be safe.

Had a doctor friend who had the one with the circle in front. I own a Blue air and a Dyson. I was actually really impressed by the germ guardian. Idk why. But the air just smells super fresh with them. Really helps with dust. I was shredding papers at his office, and I mean lots and lots of papers, he was moving to a new office and needed my help, and he let me borrow the purifier. I was in a smaller room, and every time I emptied the shredded paper the dust would fly out in the air. It did a really good job. I have asthma.

I have the one on the left. It works great. I actually like the white noise, it's peaceful and I don't care about wifi. I have wifi for my levoit humdifier and never use it. I bought a 5 pack of filters that included the charcoal filter for 39 bucks on Amazon. Thats over 2 years of replacement filters, now thats a deal!! I really wouldnt want a purifier that you don't have to replace filters, dirty is dirty. You can give this a quick vacumn every two weeks for longevity and I believe that's recommended. I may grab five more filters before the price goes up. Not only does it work great but it looks cool!!

Your review for the newer unit is the 4500 series. There's also a 4300 series; how might that stack up? WIFI is not important to me for an air cleaner but efficacy in cleaning is, plus I like the auto mode.

Wouldn't that make the UV light more safe? Someone on this thread commented that it works by filtering like when you filter the harmful germs or mold spores the light inside the unit will zap it? I would want to know that that light is safe that's the only thing holding me back from ordering one of these! After I read the reviews I had to hear how people say that can actually be harmful to breathing and headaches but every review I read on Walmart and Amazon people suffering with asthma and allergies got a tremendous relief I want any that plus I want that nice white noise fan for at night for my bedroom.

DON'T LAST TOO LONG. Purchased model AC5350 no wifi, on 03/2018 from BBB, pretty much running constantly as I assume most people would use an air purifier. Started out fine it did a great job on level 3 with very low noise. In February 2019 I bought a second one for my upstairs bedroom that's when the first one started to sound like a coffee grinder. Now the second one is making an annoying nigh pitched whistling sound after only two months of use. I have a very low dust environment, no animals, I purchased these for possible mold spores in the air as my home is very old.They have a warranty but you have to pay for shipping, I'm going to check out what the cost of that is before I decide to return it for repair.

Greetings, Thanks for the video. Is it very informative. I got the AC5250 not so long ago. When the UV feature is on. A blue tube inside the unit lights up. I am guessing that's the UV-C light. I know these type of lights are harmful to skin or eyes. I don't understand why is this light viewable and not concealed inside the machine? Thank you.
@jettlash10004 жыл бұрын
I don’t believe that’s the actual UV light. I think that’s just an aesthetic to let you know the internal UV light is working.
@Chris-xm4vw4 жыл бұрын
@@jettlash1000 Thank you for the quick response. I don't mean the light that wraps around. If you take a look inside through the mesh cover, where the air comes out, a blue long light tube is visible. This could be dangerous. I don't see any warning in the product manual. It is just strange that the UV-C light is not completely concealed to avoid exposure.

I just purchased this model and so far so good. But I did notice one thing. The air coming out doesn't come straight out. The air flow seems to favor blowing out one side of the front grill rather than the other. Anyone else notice this?
@johannwilder14373 жыл бұрын
Yes. I can confirm. The air blows about 45 degrees to the left (or to the right from the perspective of someone looking at the unit). Not sure why this happens but it doesn’t seem to affect performance.
@lk74963 жыл бұрын
@@johannwilder1437 I had researched this quite a while back. They all do it and it's done for one of two reasons. 1.The opposite side of the front grill pulls some air in bypassing the filter. This is to prevent the fan motor from overheating in case of a clogged filter. 2. Or it's just bad design. I've been running mine 24/7 for nearly two years with no issues, works great still.
