Ya gotta play the RE2 remake if you haven't. Where RE4 takes the more action approach, RE2 takes the survival approach and exploring the police station is a lot of fun and it's not as long. Also, you can get a suitcase attachment from the target practice that increases your movement speed by 8%. It doesnt sound like much, but it's a big help.

The RE: 2 remake will be great for you to play as well because you get to play as Leon and Claire separately. RE 7: Biohazard was a really good story as well, and it'll be cool to see you play. Jettro, they've brought out DLC for this game that was part of the original game. It's called Separate ways and you play as Ada, showing what she was up to the whole time Leon was doing his mission. You mentioned that you'd love to play as her and the DLC is great so I recommend you do it as a series (it's much shorter than the main game)
