I like and respect the fact that you throw in the little things like the rear snag cast. It says a lot about your character. You're not too proud to be human. Good stuff Elias, you're the man.

@@HamboneFishing yup I’ve gotten fish flopping under my leg in a yak while I dug out pliers and the fish shakes off the trebles and buried them into my shorts or pants. Its really annoying to have to take them off or cut a little to get them out. Now I use barbless treble hooks, the fish stay on if you keep constant pressure and as soon as the pressure relieves the hooks pop out. Way safer.

It's kind of funny our flounder season in NC is only 14 days because they are trying to protect the flounder or whatever, but it's really hard not to catch them. It's funny to see other youtubers in other states catch like a 17 and say it's huge or something. I'm like dang I catch 17's on almost every dock and point.

Hi Elias …really enjoy watching your videos ! You are a really great fisherman ! I was wondering why the water in the back bays you’re fishing are usually muddy ? Is it a NC thing? If so ? What causes it? Summer heat increased algae ?
@BigNoob10123 жыл бұрын
what is the water clarity at the jetty there normally? It seems pretty murky in this clip, and was wondering on your thoughts on a wake bait in somewhat dirty water

Awesome video! When you are in a school of fish does it matter how you work the bait, or can you just do a slow retrieve if you are fishing for Red or trout?
@EliasVFishing3 жыл бұрын
I typically work most of my lures fast when I’m searching for fish, this way I can cover water efficiently. After finding something I’ll experiment with retrieve styles.

Depends on if you want more like capacity or a sealed reel- I think sealed reels are better for kayak fishing, but then again I’ve had 0 issues with non sealed reels from my yak inshore.
