I lived in San Diego back in the day and Poltz would play all over town with various friends and pals and never failed to entertain. Jewel would play every coffee house, she was everywhere. But when they shared a stage together they both lit up and made magic. And if you are a Poltz fan, you need to look up Gregory Page.

SJB1717 They were a couple! They were an item when she first got a job waiting tables at Java Joe's . Jewel and him were in love and he took her under his wing and helped he with her career! Steve was pretty good looking in his day but about 13 years older than she at 18 and he at 31.

Spring Martin I am from the Southern United States and seldom have a Southern accent, except when I am in the Southern United States! You start speaking Southern when around Southern people is my experience, and that’s when my accent always reappears. I have always been told that I argue in a Southern accent. So, I speak Southern fluently around Southerners and angry. That may be the case. But who: knows. Have a great day.

A cheap laugh? She's a sweet woman, not mocking or demeaning anybody, she's merely sharing her recollection of a crazy interesting event in her life, as she remembers it. I suppose if she had practiced her Mexican accent so it sounded more authentic, you might give your seal of approval? Or are any regional or nationality accents completely off-limits in your SJW snowflake cancel-culture world? I grew up in San Diego, same as her, and have told a lot of anecdotes over the years affecting a Mexican accent that you would probably disapprove of, simply because I am not Hispanic.

I don't really like when artists switch up a lot of the words/melody when singing live (compared to the recorded track). I think it's because I always sing along and it gets annoying when every other bar is customized in some way. Not just Jewel, obviously, but I do think that she's is doing it too much in this particular performance.
