Selling the stolen jewelries immediately after the 'event' was so stupid, they should've waited at least for several months or even years to sell the stolen stuff,and in different cities as well. They got millions of dollars from the heist,why didn't manage and use the money first, that was a lot, no need to hurry to sell the jewelries.
@SukumarDevaguptapuLife-Smiles3 жыл бұрын
In all such activities -- trust lasts only, until the success..! after the hit -- mistrust and distrust sets in...so each of them wants to cash in...so that "they could happily live after"! These guys are broke and can never wait for months or years..!

They sold the jewels because Sammy had a gambling problem and was owning money to the mafia...he was one of the guys that kept them and put the pressure to on Bobby to sell them. The original plan was to keep the jewels for a year. Sammy later was killed by the Lucchese family after he escaped a couple of previews attempts

American justice system: "You could face up to life in prison, but we'll cut it down to 25 years just because it's New York, get it commuted twice from ten to five years, have it retried, knock a couple years off, get half off for good behavior, and at that point might as well just make it probation for a couple weeks, as long as you return half of what you stole.

was going to say the same thing or should have went overseas, though that might decrease their value a bit being sold in another country, but they already have millions in cash, so it would that bad, but dont do bulk selling overseas, sell it slowly.

Interesting/informative/entertaining. Similar to the ( Good Fellas 1978 ) JFK Lufthansa heist-!!!😉. The crooks should have done more research on the room that contained the safe deposit boxes. To save valuable time. I didn't notice facial attire on the crooks-???🤔. Fortunately none of the hostages were physically harmed. Very risky gamble when hostages are involved with a heist. Enjoyed the presentation.

If you steal jewelry worth of 1 million do you believe it's easy to exchange them to bank notes? This is the question seldom thought by media pundits and big public. Same with other stolen property. The bag 10 kilos full of $10 bank notes is worth of $100,000. Even escaping with $500,000 worth of bank notes is not so easy task for robberies.
