Once a piece is dry ready for firing, how long can it be kept in the dry state before firing? I’m asking because I wonder if I can keep some pieces aside for customising.
@JewellersAcademy2 ай бұрын
Hi there, yes once the pieces have been made they can be kept for years dry and ready to fire. Hope that helps! x

Your video was so useful. I want to start this as a hobby not business. Where do you usually get your supplies for this? in any particular shop or just different ones?

how would you polish it without the wire brush?
@JewellersAcademy Жыл бұрын
Options for polishing are emery papers, polishing papers or a pendant motor with different polishing mops/wheels/tips in different grits. A brass brush is really just for the beginning phase of polishing. Hope this helps!

You have a few options with clay - you can stamp or engrave once fired or you can even buy moulds with lettering to add before firing x
