Update: I did it! 👍 It took me a little longer than I expected due to twisting my own wire but it was my first time and it actually turned out great on my first try! Next, I will try it using silver plated wire. You are an awesome instructor. Thank you so much! ❤😊 One more thing... rather than cutting 2 lengths of wire to twist, I cut 1 longer piece then folded in half over my round nose pliers and twisted. It made it easier to hold and to get the twist started.

Love the earrings, but I definitely need more instruction on how to hold the tools and bend the wire to keep the wire from looking so wrinkled. I have cut so many pieces of wire and practiced, but my wire looks awful. I must be holding the tool incorrectly and maybe too aggressive when bending the wire? No clue. When you bend the wire, you are so smooth and it looks so elegant.

Hi Jocelyn. wow i must say you are awesome with wire. Love all your videos and you are an inspiration to me and im sure alot of people :) I wanted to ask you. Do your pliers never make nicks and notch in the wire when you make something? My pliers always do that so i had to invest in some coating for the pliers called Tool Magic which you dip the pliers into and they get a plastic coating. I'd love to hear what your experience is with this. Much love from Norway :)

Thanks for the tutorial, I used 22 ga. silver (Artistic Wire) twisted wire. When I tried to cut the ends off the middle they were untwisting leaving it picky.(I trimmed them a couple of times) Same thing. Is this the wrong kind of wire?

Thanks for the very clear and inspiring tutorial! Just one question: is there a reason for not using any soldering?

Beginner friendly :-) For the pieces I sell in my shop, I actually do solder the two halves together prior to adding the twisted center.

I love your jewelry! Do you shop for your wire/tools online or do you have a local shop you go to in order to restock your supply of things such as wire? I am wanting to make some jewelry for myself and don't really know where to begin or what prices are decent. I am doing my research, but have found those that are in the business already are awesome resources to talk to! Thank you for your time!! :) Have a great day!

***** Jocelyn, great tutorials, you really know what you're doing. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise. I just want to let people know that Shipwreck Beads is a great source for beads, crystals, findings, charms. I'm not associated with any vendors, but I have found that for a lot of items, Shipwreck definitely costs less than Fire Mountain. I've shopped from both for many years. Rings 'n Things is another supplier I use that I've been very happy with. Art Beads has wonderful decorative wire in addition to all the usual findings and such.

❤ This is so pretty... thank you! I'm anxious to try this. You also answered a question about gauge size to use when twisting my own wire. I've considered trying that and 24ga was my guess. Btw, your link for the bail didn't appear in this video but it wasn't hard to find. Again, thank you so much! 🙂
@FantasiaElegance5 жыл бұрын
So glad you found my tutorial helpful! Thanks for the heads up about the link. KZbin changed their format for in-video links (you can't have pop up link boxes anymore) and now I have to go back and re-edit everything, blah.
@tammygurl645 жыл бұрын
@@FantasiaElegance That's a shame to have to re-edit. I know how much work can go into creating and editing video. As I said, I found the bail tutorial. I also tried to make it but I wasn't as successful with it my first try. LOL! I won't give up though. Thanks again for your help. 😊

Jocelyn, When making the earrings what lengths of wire do you suggest? I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide.
@theresasarnoski937110 жыл бұрын
***** Jocelyn, I did look at the list of the lengths of the wire, but the only listing is for the pendant. I was asking for the length of wires for the earrings. Sorry if I wasn't clear.
@theresasarnoski937110 жыл бұрын
***** Thank you very much. I have been playing with lengths and have cut some too short and others were too close to the size of the pendant. I will try the 3" and 3.5" and see how that goes. If I have success I will let you know. Thank you again for your response.
