What a beautiful stitch. You are very clear and a good speed with doing the stitches. I’m doing this stitch in off white cotton for a bed throw.

Very pretty stitch for an afghan. I'll be using a medium 4 weight yarn and ready to start. Another Grandkid will be happy. I am done with 3 out of 13. Still a long way to go. Thank you

Oh wow! That's so sweet of you 😊 I've got to make another one of these too, I'm thinking about making a bulky weight one.

Lovely Im going to make for one of my daughters! Any suggestion or a tutorial for a border? Subscribed!! really clear instructions!
@JewelsandJones Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! 😊 I would recommend a simple single crochet border for this stitch. Since the sides are already a bit wavy, I think a simple border really let's this stitch shine. Here's a tutorial on my blog on how to make a single crochet border: jewelsandjones.com/single-crochet-border-tutorial/

Super clear instructions thanks so much! I want to use this stitch as an edging stitch for a cocoon shrug, on the main body and both sleeves, the loose style will compliment it really well; is there anything I need to be aware of?

Hi there, I think that's a great idea! I think it'll work great. 😊

I am struggling with finding where the hook should go, finding the chain space, tips/tricks? I've frogged many times. I'm a newbie. Haha.

Hi there, I've just added some helpful photos to the stitch tutorial on my blog. I hope that helps. The photos show where each stitch is at in the row. Good luck! You've got this 😊 jewelsandjones.com/how-to-crochet-the-reverse-blanket-stitch/

Could you keep working around the first line to make an oval then keep going for a rug?

Hi there, I haven't tried it. But it could possibly work. 😊

Can i use this stitch as just the first row border--then continue using single or double crochet only?
@JewelsandJones4 ай бұрын
I haven't tried it this way yet, but it might just work. 😊

Started working on a blanket with this stitch - it reminds me of my baby blanket! :) Do you have any tips for tying in loose ends?
@JewelsandJones11 ай бұрын
Aww, 😊 I hope you enjoy making the blanket. To answer your question, I usually split the yarn into two by unwinding it and working them into different ends or you could carry your tail ends as you're making your new stitch. I'm planning on writing a post on this, so all link it here when I'm done with it.

If I wanted to make a Queen size blanket, how long would my chain be ( stitches ) . I was confused with the multiple 4 issue
@JewelsandJones2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure on the chain count as I haven't made that size myself yet. But you can adjust your starting chain and make it longer. You want to make sure that your starting chain is a multiple of four (even number), and then follow the pattern as is.

Hi there, I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Do you want to add a border or finish of the blanket?
@colleenmisner4542 жыл бұрын
I believe it is multiples of 4 so chain as long as you want it and as high as you want it
@prophecyfields62043 жыл бұрын
This stitch I think would be perfect for a delicate baby blanket using sport weight yarn (#3) and a thicker hook than what is recommended, to make it softer and with a lacy look.
@JewelsandJones3 жыл бұрын
Oh I love that idea! I think the lightweight yarn would complement this stitch very nicely. Might have to make one as well :)

I like the stitch but the edges are not straight.
@JewelsandJones Жыл бұрын
True, but I think that's why this stitch is so pretty. I haven't tried it yet, but if you wanted to make the edge straight, I think alternating between a single crochet and double crochet might work. You would want to make a double crochet in the part where it dips down, and then a single crochet on the top part. Just an idea, but it might work. 😊
