As a Jew who is a baby believer in Jesus, I went a long way to learn about Rabbinic Religion. I did not want to follow the wrong faith, so I had no choice. Here is one example why I deny Rabbinic Tradition: The Mishna ( early form of "oral law") Asks: Is a tabernacle kosher if it is placed on a camel's back? - Tractate Sukkah 2:3. If God gave us an oral law to help us interpret the Torah, why are there so many debates and questions left inside of it(and ridiculous ones at that)? Rabbinic Judaism is a New Testament of man. Very good arguments in this video about Rabbinic approaches to Isiah 53. Bottom line, before critiquing the New Testament read deeply about Rabbinic religion.

Interesting I don't think observance of the oral law, in rabbinic Judaism would ever of helped truth seeker's in reflection arrive to the place of accepting a new covenant prophesied in Jeremiah (due to the confusion it would have created by debates etc). And God is not a god of confusion. But I can understand why the rebuke was so heavy from Jesus when it came to the Pharisees in Matthew 23. Jesus did say to the crowd's etc in his time observe what the rabbis say, but don't copy them. And today people copy them, in judaism so it's taken them off the path what Moses law intended for (Galatians 3:24). But what jesus said I believe wasn't a excuse for people reject him as Messiah in that time as their only teacher (Israel still had to follow Moses law); so rabbis served a purpose until law was fulfilled. Tho today in Judaism teachers that people created such Mendel schneerson have become people's Messiah & it's very dangerous to ppl's spiritual life. The word rebbe is not actually mentioned in new testament explicitly I believe. But when jesus referred to teacher he was warning against people following like mendel schneerson (Matthew 23:10). Rebbe is equivalent to teacher, in the new testament language. So it's quite sad in conclusion how people think rebbe schneerson is the Messiah, but these things happen when people do not submit to God's righteousness (Romans 10:3). But prayer is powerful for the salvation of Israel, but also speaking openly to those who may be in ignorance among Israel. I believe when the 3rd temple comes about, the message of salvation will be given outside there (before the bible prophesied destruction). “I have spoken openly to the world,” Jesus replied. “I always taught in synagogues or at the temple, where all the Jews come together. I said nothing in secret. John 18:20 Though yh, speaking to where say people are, can win souls. Whether that's outside Israel concerts or secular places etc. If someone heard the word outside the supernova concert on Oct 7 last yr it could of saved a life from being lost. But that piece of territory that was used for a idol statue on Oct 7, could of been prior used for territory to the lord, but now the site is not the same. Shalom.

My only point is from a marketing perspective, “Jews for Jesus” never clicked for me, but Messianic Jew is more palatable. From a Jewish man married to a Christian woman that is learning more about Jesus, this kinda matters. Growing up, I heard of Jews for Jesus and the negative stigma was there in the 80’s as well. Now that I learn more, I see the reasons for Messianic Judaism, but never learned about it before bc of the stigma and the name. Tbh, I’m frustrated that the knowledge of Jesus was withheld from me as a child. Especially in light of spiritual events that are taking place. Thanks for the education from your organization!🙏🇺🇸🇮🇱

Jeff, Ariel, I am a Gentile. I was born in a Roman Catholic family. When I accepted Jesus (that's a whole other story), I was laughed at, mocked, despised, and my father threw me out of the house,. My brother mocked me and said the pope was his spiritual leader. Since 1976, this has gone on. I did lead people to Jesus. But it was not by any planned speech,. Jesus said, the Holy Ghost shall speak through you, therefore, take no thought what you shall say.' After over forty years, I have learned to step aside (my pride, my exuberance, my emotions) and just let God lead the conversation. In fact, Jesus told the first disciples if they don't don't receive you, just walk away. Christ is not an argument. Paul the apostle said, 'Knowing the terror of the Lord, we persuade men.' and he also prayed to be delivered from unreasonable men.' Jesus said clearly, 'No man comes to the Father but through me.' Just talk about Jesus, how he lived and did good and how he patiently suffered men, but never backed down either.

Then when I got sick and tired of being sick and tired of trying to keep the law. Then turned it all over to Jesus Christ I got it. As I was no longer in bondage to the Law. It's why Jesus Christ come to start with, to redeem the lost. As he is in the business of fixing broken things. This is also why people that have replaced Jesus Christ with their own virtue. They have no value unless they have something higher then themselves to cling too. They are trying to fill that void they know they have. That being Purpose..

I am sorry, I'm so confused. God's Law, His beautiful Torah, is not bondage. I think the 2 masters are referring to God or SIN. I don't know of any Messianic believers who start keeping Easter, Christmas, stop keeping Sabbath, or eating unclean animals once they find Yeshua. I am a Christian who is learning to keep Torah. There are now hundreds of thousands all over the world..... It is WRITTEN..... 4 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the Lord’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And peoples shall flow to it. 2 Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways; And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem....... The Gentiles are learning to LOVE GOD'S LAW and are starting to return home to FEAST with the Father just like the prodigal son!

Why are we here ? What is the purpose of this life on earth? Is there life after this earthly existence? Is there a heaven and a hell? Are you good? Good enough to go to heaven? Almost all of us would declare to be good. But what is good? What is the highest moral standard to which we can compare or measure ourselves? Please take a look at this test. How many lies have you told in your life? Have you ever stolen anything - even if it was very small and of little value? Have you ever hated anyone ( God says that anyone who hates his fellow human is a murderer )? Have you ever desired things that wasn’t yours? Have you ever used God’s Name to express disgust? We all have done this at some point, so this test shows us that we are all sinners. To admit this is not easy for us. But God is Light and Love and there is not a trace of evil in Him. God is the Holy Spirit, He is a 100% righteous Judge, and He must not only judge murderers and thief’s, but also blasphemers, idol worshipers, fornicators and sexual immoral humans. In the beginning the earth was like heaven during Adam and Eve, the first 2 humans, but they disobeyed God and began sinning. We all are descendants from them and carry the sin curse too. God says that the wages of sin is dead and that is why we all die. This is how serious sin is to a Holy God. But God is love and He doesn’t want anyone of us to go to hell. He wants to Safe us so that we all live happily forever with Him in His Kingdom, in heaven. But He must also judge and punish our evil. So how to solve this dilemma? God in His wisdom solved this problem by coming as the humble human Yeshua ( born in Bethlehem - just as the Prophets predicted, but raised in Nazareth ! ). Yeshua lived a perfect innocent life on earth, and He took the punishment that we deserved upon Himself by stepping in for us in Gods Courtroom and so bailed us out from Hell punishment by shedding His innocent blood and His life on the Cross as a sacrifice atonement which washes away ALL our sins and punishment. He paid the highest possible price by offering His life and His precious blood to safe us. He died, but He rose from the grave on the third day, alive, because God is Spirit and He cannot die. God will give the gift of eternal life to you too if you believe in Yeshua - you will go from being condemned to hell to everlasting life in heaven. This is Gods amazing grace - and it is a free gift ! All you have to do now (!) is to repent of your sins and trust in Yeshua for your Salvation. Do NOT trust in your good works as they are like filthy rags in the eyes of a Holy God - and you insult God as you actually saying that Yeshua - who is God - didn’t had to die for you. God bless each and everyone who reads this in the Mighty Name of Lord Yeshua - He is the KING of kings, and the LORD of Lords. God bless Israel ! Shalom !

I'm an american Christian and I really loved the discussion of the last statement, as someone outside of this particular discussion and identity. To someone like myself, it is potentially worrisome, this mixing of a faith in Jesus, messiah, and these traditions that do seem closely tied to law as a means of salvation. I have seen "messianic jews" talk about these kinds of things without a lot of detail and it seemed like the mixing of two faiths. What is said here is wonderful and clear, keep it as a tradition if you like, but recognize that Jesus saved us from such a system as a means of salvation. Do NOT have faith in these things for salvation. I am now a lot less skeptical of such things and such people. Thank you for this! Whatever our differences, love to you, brothers and sisters in Christ. May we find more unity and understanding.

The best explanation of keeping the Law of Moses is from Prophet Robin Bullock. From what I understand, the Law is the principle of seed, plant and harvest, so if you sin, you will reap a bad harvest. The faith of the animal blood sacrifice would stop the bad harvest from that sin. The blood sacrifice also foreshadowed the coming Messiah. Because of the sacrifice of Jesus, the faith in His blood sacrifice stops the bad harvest of all our sins, giving us eternal life. Jesus says that he did not come to take away the law, but He is fulfillment of the Law.

As a gentile believer I would say, thank you for providing such clarity to intricate questions by Jewish people. On the question of human sacrifice, It is helpful to note that Jesus / Yeshua was both High Priest and sacrifice, as symbolised by the sacrifice of an innocent lamb without any defect. Wen He was baptized in the Jordan by John the Baptist, He was anointed with the Holy Spirit for his 3½ year ministry as High Priest, who then gave Himself as human sacrifice when He was crucified to atone for our sins, but especially THE sin of walking our own path as in Isaiah 53, called INIQUITY, which we inherited from our fallen first parents.

Yeshua is not a 'rabbi', but He is truly a Rabbi. The Greek of the New Testament calls Him that. The NT also calls Yeshua Rabbi (Greek-ραββι). This word occurs in Matt 26:25, 26:49, Mar 9:5, 11:21, 14:45, John 1:38, 1:49, 3:2, 4:31, 6:25, 9:2 , 11:8. When Miriam of Migdala (Mary Magdalene) saw the risen Lord, she exclaimed in Aramaic, 'Rabbuni (ραββουνι)! What is interpreted: Teacher!'' Jochanan/John 20:16. In Mark 10:51 (ραββονι rabboni). So we can boldly repeat after Nathanael 'Rabbi! You are the Son of God, you are the King of Israel.'' Gospel of John 1:49.

5 Attitudes Jesus specifically condemned in the Jewish Pharisees: 1.They overburdened the people: “They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them” (Matthew 23:4). 2. They were motivated by attention: “Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others” (Matthew 23:5-7). 3. They made it hard to enter God's Kingdom: “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to” (Matthew 23:13). 4. They neglected mercy, justice and faithfulness: “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices-mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law-justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel” (Mathew 23:23-24). 5. They focused entirely on external righteousness: “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean” (Matthew 23:25-26). In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus makes this startling statement: “For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:20).

I am a thankful part of the Antiochian patriarchate, but I also resonate with your comments. Each soul needs to own a living faith of their own. Traditions are the means by which each one of us doesn't have to reinvent the discovery of spiritual practices from scratch, and they are great as long as one understands their original purposes and limitations. Everyone has and makes traditional practices. The weight of time and human laziness, though, makes institutions forget these. They are not bad in themselves, but priests are also just men, as most Orthodox priests will confess. Pray for them, that God will enable them to help you discover the deeper life in Christ, and don't give up on your own study! If you are Yeshua's disciple, you also have the same Holy Spirit to teach you!

What about what Jesus said? He was talking to the leaders then, he said that there house is desolate. And it still is. Jesus said render no evil for evil. Most people don’t follow Jesus or his teachings. Do you notice nobody comes against the knowledge of this world. The Bible says how to train your children and when they’re older, they won’t turn away from it. That is not what everyone is doing. Oh and all nations are deceived.

Hello, my Brothers and Sisters in Christ. I understand the point of view of many Jewish people, because they associate Catholicism with Christianity, since many centuries ago when the last emperor Constantine absorbed Christianity but He diluted the True message of God. And I understand; Jewish resilience because The ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH; Not TRUE CHRISTIANS, PERSECUTED, TORTURED, JEWISH, MUSLIMS AND ALSO TRUE CHRISTIANS,(done by the Spanish Inquisition with the Aragon, and Castilla Crown, then APPROVED BY THE POPE). With these events and people ignoring the difference between Christian and Catholics, more than ever Jewish don’t want to do anything with Christianity. We also need to understand than breaking from Any religion is hard to, because are traditions, customs, and Habits, which are hard to break. That’s why Jesus say: THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE. Because religions that’s what it is: CHAINS. And this is something very important that we as Christian’s we need to remember and proclaim that Christianity is not, and I repeat is NOT A RELIGION; CHRISTIANITY IS A RELATIONSHIP WITH A LIVING GOD. Be bless my brother and sister, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. We have an AWESOME GOD.

For the first question... Jesus said, "But you shall not be called 'Rabbi,' for your Teacher is One, and you are all brothers." (Matthew 23-8) For the second to last question... I saw the interview of a person on YT... Person had an nde, who is a linguist, met Jesus and asked directly what name was best and Jesus said to the person, "The Lord Jesus Christ with emphasis on the pronoun "The." For the last question... see the following comment below....

Great Job, EXCEPT: You wrongly call yourself a Jewish Christian, whereas, I rightly call myself a Messianic Jewish Gentile. Calling “Christians” by the term “Christian” is Bad, because what is called Christian is one of the two most major divisions of Judaism! There is Messianic Jews as one major division, and there is non-messianic Jews, with all of its many subdivisions. (Islam has never been a subdivision of Judaism, because it never was established or lead by Jews. Islam is its own religion, which tries to claim both Messianic and Non-Messianic Judaism, in the same way that Buddhism and other religions claim that Jesus is one of them, but they were NEVER an off-shoot of Judaism, and they never claimed Jesus until centuries after Jesus’ death.) Thus, the term “Christian” confuses both Jews and Gentiles by causing them to think that it is a different religion than Judaism. Additionally, the argument which Anti-Messianics Jews make, saying that Messianics, Jews, or others need to “talk”, meaning “get brain washed”, by a rabbi, and also that Judaism needs to be “deep”, should be countered by these scriptures: Deuteronomy 4:2, 12:32, 5:32, 28:14 - God commanded the nation of Israel to neither “add to” nor “take away from” God’s teaching, nor to “turn to the left from” nor “turn to the right from” God’s teaching; additionally, that God’s teaching is straight-forward and simple to understand; and it needs no “hero” mediator to interpret what it means, Deuteronomy 30:11-14. Moreover, scripture condemns those teachers and teachings which were added to God’s teachings, Isaiah 28:7-10. Jews will never be godly until they no longer seek a rabbi to explain scripture to them, Jeremiah 31:33-34 (NIV): "This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time," declares the Lord. "I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, 'Know the Lord,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest," declares the Lord. "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."

I would just like to give my interpretation of the suffering servant being the Messiah, a person and not the nation of Israel. In Isaiah 11:1 it states that "a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a branch from his roots will bear fruit." and Isaiah 53:2 states that "For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground" The Davidic dynasty was to be cut down in judgment like a felled tree, but it was promised to Israel that a new sprout would shoot up from the stump. King Messiah was to be that sprout.

It is a branch, Not from the stem of Salomon, but from the seed of the woman, a virgin, through Nathan, son of David, out of dry ground comes the Messiah. That is the human form, the 2nd Adam, the Son of Man. The line of Salomon is cursed through Conjah from God, no one will sit on the throne of David, only the Messiah through Mirjam and Joseph, the only couple that could bring forth the Messiah, a miracle. It is a sign to the house of David from God Himself, a virgin will be with child, EL imanu. It happens 483 years after the wall is build in the 20th year of Artaxerxes, about 32 AD, when the Prince, the Messiah, died in our place (Asham offering), God put all sin on Him, who had no sin.

Messianic Rabbi Zev Porat supposedly received Rabbinic Sanhedrin ordination from Ponevezh Yeshiva and comes from a line of Sanhedrin Rabbis. I say supposedly because the Sanhedrin is mainly from Biblical times (Wikipedia states it disbanded in disbanded in 425 CE). Furthermore, Zev Porat comes across as a complete Christian, both in religion and culture. It is hard to believe he studied in a Yeshiva, let alone even being a Jew. He rants and raves and it is hard to believe that any observant Jew would give him the time of day. Obviously he would be more effective proselytizing Jews from a Jewish prospective. But he is popular with Christians Evangelicals who shower him with donations. Zev Porat is simply one of hundreds of missionaries, some of whom born Jewish, most Jews find obnoxious and abhorrent. Jeff Morgan, on the other hand comes across as pleasant and likeable. He is not constantly preaching that the Jews not saved will face eternal damnation, including your relatives who died in the Holocaust. He is calm and reasonable sounding as are his guests.

I mean if He was just a rabbi, He wouldn't claim to be God since you Jews know God called Himself, I AM, Jesus called Himself I AM. He compared Himself with the Father in power but not authority. He said He was the Alpha and the Omega, The First and The Last. He clearly claimed Himself to be God so He is either God or a blasphemer. But we know he can't be a blasphemer and if He was why would God allow him to live any longer to influence people? So Jesus Christ of Nazareth is fully human and fully God, He is the Son of God reveled in the flesh.

One observation on the complaint that you're not going deep enough: Ignoring the question of how deep you *DO* go, the question is suggesting that one earns their way into heaven by being "deep enough". Or by being friends with a rabbi, and hoping the *rabbi* is going deep enough so that you don't have to wrestle with these issues in your own head.
