My neighbor's father who had survived the holocaust as a child lived with him when I first moved in. Israel was in the news a lot at the time, and he often said that he would never visit Israel because it was wrong what they did to establish it. He's gone now, but I think of him and his stories often. He was a good man, and always had sympathy only for the Palestinians in this conflict.
