I met her in July this year at the Jewish Holocaust Memorial in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and I bought her book, 'Lauferin'. She's such a beautiful lady and her story is amazing and inspirational. I feel honoured to have met her.

I met Lusia a few years ago at the Holocaust museum in Melbourne. I was there with my mum, as my University had organised for us to listen to some survivors. I never forget, bumping into her as mum and I walked out. I remember her showing me the tattoo on her arm. She told me about how she was starving, and so malnourished yet the Germans used to take blood from her arm and the other inmates and send them to the front line. Blood from people who had nothing, who they saw as inferior. I remember my heart breaking. I’ve still got her book and her bookmark sitting at home and I treasure them dearly. I felt so honoured to have met her. It amazes me how despite everything she keeps going for her family ❤️

Such an inspiring story! I actually lived near Mrs. Haberfeld's old home on Piotrkowska Street in Poland. The tenement was recently renovated and looks so beautiful now!

Treblinka not Treblinki. My family was gassed there in 1942. The name of the teacher in the Jewish orphanage was Stefania Wilczynska. She was educated in Switzerland and Belgium. She was given a chance to save herself but did not want to leave orphans and was gassed with children in August 1942.

I used to work montiforie homes Melbourne such wonderful patients and staff just like family. Patients always trying to give you a chocolate 🍫 or pieces of fruit.

Utterly horrific! The sheer unconscious, hateful, destruction of peoples and their cultures. To destroy all that love, way of life is unforgiveable, Nazis, driven by conceit, avarice, what a particularly very, very dark period from 1914 - 1945.

Jan loves many l listen to these interviews in my truck. I have connected the Bluetooth. I hear perfectly fine now. I only listen to these interviews while l am working as a security officer. I work by myself and it's better to hear now through the Bluetooth. Try Bluetooth or you may want to purchase speakers

The uprising happened in 7 October 1944, after 300 of the 800 strong Sonderkommando were killed. @@petitanglais Oh, I see what you're saying. I don't know any Polish, but I do speak Russian, so this makes sense to me. However, for native English speakers without knowledge of a Slavic tongue, these variations in word endings can seem very arbitrary and pointless. Thanks for the interesting explanation, I am genuinely intrigued with this grammatical technicality you've mentioned here.
