These testimonies are heart wrenching. I can't imagine how the survivors lived with all these painful memories. God bless them for their resilience and keeping the Jewish legacy alive.

It's truly a miracle that Minia survived while being so sick, I was always told that any one who showed signs of being sick, especially if you're a child or elderly person, was murdered quickly because there would be no reason to keep that useless person alive...according to the SS, so glad Minia escaped her horrible, deadly situation. God bless her!

Minia doesn't sound like all the Hell she went through had a lot of effect on her- I'm sure it did, but she handles it well. I saw a woman lose it at the store recently because one of her fake nails had fallen off and she was going crazy at the checkout looking for it on the floor. She yelled at a couple of us to "MOVE!" so she could see if we were standing on it. I thought she wouldn't have lasted a week during the Holocaust while so many others had their dignity and grace after all they went through. I think a good many people these days would never have the strength to go through anything really horrible like so many of the survivors did and it made me wonder just when did we become so spoiled and weak? More people should watch these testimonies, a LOT more... SALUTE Minia!

We in America society are so clueless, so spoiled, and so worried about mindless stuff, like what is a Kardashian wearing or her recent plastic surgery, I could understand if she lost a contact lens. But humanity like water never changes, its just figuring out where danger comes from. ? Antifa? Look for the emboldened ones never punished.

I agree. So many people are so quick to complain about politics, money, drama. Very few recognize how privileged and lucky we are to not have ever lived in this type of terror.

Thank you very much for sharing that incident with us. It is true we are too spoil in these wealthy countries that we don't take a minute to thanks Somebody up in Heaven for what He is providing us. I think "Wars" or "Poverty" are the worst that could happen to a country-people.🧡

People become weak and spoiled when they have a too good and easy life,so I've always thought that humans need to have a bit harder life in order to remain strong,fit,quick,clever. A too easy life is simply ruining us,our health and our abilities.

@@RD-0101 we in US have had pretty easy since WW 2. But I suspect that may change unfortunately. Good times lead to weak men, weak men lead to hard times, hard times make strong men strong men lead to good times. Comes from a book 4th Turning. as times go thru 4 turnings, over about 80y, curious idea. I believe we are at end of cycle of good times make weak men. Headed for hard times.

Minia seems like a wonderful caring woman. I just can't understand how her father could stay constantly in hiding and make his daughter put herself at risk to go out, deal with soldiers, etc. A loving parent does everything possible to protect their children. I understand a beard is important to some men but there is something extremely wrong with a man whose beard is more important than his child's safety.
@lynnhauenstein4136

I wonder that too. The beard thing. Would he eat pork to stay alive, ? or keep beard and keep kosher. And die for principles and put kids at risk. Its a culture thing many never can understand.

I think it doesn't have to do with anything cultural of religious but in any "War" mem are the first to go. Somehow, He represents the head of the family and whatever happen after "The War" children feel consolation having their parents than being alone in the world. What would you do if you are a Jew and and a war broke out and you're persecute in America the same the German did?🧡

@@lynnhauenstein4136 That's how the very religious people are,exagerated in everything. It's a religious problem,not a cultural problem..you should see how other religions are,just terrible! All religions have always been a problem in human society..sometimes a help but many more times a problem.

People often look away from a person to give themselves time to remember something. Since she doesn't avoid eye contact much it doesn't mean she is hiding anything, although a bunch of rank amateurs that THINK they know body language would make a big deal about it. She is honest IMO. :)

Some of them made notes too so that they could stay in chronological order and to keep them on target! I myself do this when I am speaking and know I will be asked questions (not saying she did this) and besides this is over 50 years later. Heck it is hard for me to remember stuff that happened 5 years ago. She did wonderful !

@@rescuepetsrule6842 No one said that she isn't honest,why are you implying that this person thinks that she's not honest? 😮 I think that she was looking down at some notes that she has written,in order to not forget something important.
