They didn't take your dignity away from you. They tried, but fortunately they didn't succeed. Only because of that I admire so much Jewish people.

What a beautiful voice she has!! I was like transported in time in the '40s and listening to a professional singer on an old radio! And such beautiful young looking parents..so sad that they didn't survive the Holocaust! 😔

Ah! I am only to the 26 minute mark and in tears at the story of her Mom. My heart breaks feeling the anguish.

Thank you for your testimony, they’re so important to history - though I’m afraid we never learn. I may make an inappropriate comment dear lady but I’m so glad you outgrew your beautiful shoes and the darn Nazis didn’t get them!!!! G-D bless you and your family Reva 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👵👵👵🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

54:30 flawless, enchanting, memorizing, i was hypnotized and in awe. Her voice is very traditional of the way Jewish woman sing.. i wonder if she knows that her voice is beautiful. That she should record old Jewish songs. Her voice is like a smooth violen

I believe it’s the melody of Oyfn Pripepetrick by M.M. Warshawsky- as it was a popular Yiddish song from the 1800s in Europe, many would make their own lyrics to its melody.

It's around 157km/ 98 miles from Częstochowa to Demblin now. I'd imagine thar there'd have been less clear cut walking areas, and one wouldn't have to hide/ not be seen as much as possible for a few days worth of walking at the best of times.
