I am sure the Rebbe had a conversation with hashem. And hashem listening to his wisdom , gave him 15 more years.

A great man in Judaism. He inspired so many. Yet no man's life is of greater value than another in the eyes of Hashem, only in the eyes of man.

@יעקב ייגר The TZADEK concept was created by rabbis just as nobility was created by Kings, Dukes, and Earls.

@יעקב ייגר Sending letters to his Ohel and the Hassidic version of the Tzadek is idolatry

@יעקב ייגר Sure Rebbe Schneerson was great. But so was Jonas Salk and Franklin Roosevelt. They were not Tzaddeks. My Rabbi was J.J. Hecht, personal secretary to the Rebbe. A constant complaint of the Mitnaggedim [opponents of the Hasidim] against Hasidism was that the Hasidic veneration of the tzaddik [the righteous leader] bordered on idolatry- I agree with them and take it even further.

Yes, Rabbi Shnerson was a good religious man. But to elevate him to a status the way this community has is akin to idol worship. Because he gave out dollar bills and signed them does not make him Mosiach.

They aren't screaming. They are singing chassidic melodies that are very lively. There is a chassidic/Jewish saying that joy breaks through all boundaries and limits. They are singing to help the Rebbe get well and the Rebbe knows this. He wants them to sing in a joyful manner. He draws strength from it.
