10:56 I think this play design was crap too: Deebo should have been in motion Pre-Snap from that slot position. And turned on the jets as he crosses. True Guerendo did him no favors by the straight line running. But that's him, he's not a jump cut stutter go kinda runner, we couldn't expect him to become it this week.

I love love love these vids man! You are crushing it! Thanks so much for your time and effort to help us see the X’s and O’s and see why we are the way we are! It’s been a frustrating season for sure but I’ve developed a more love of the game this year funny enough because I’m doing deep dives like this and seeing how football actually works and videos like this just pull it altogether. It’s made me love the game more and see how systems and players work together. So thank you so much for that! One quick question do you know of any FA guards or centers that would be upgrades? I see the falcons center pff rating is better he’s ranked 12 out of the 32 starters. And I believe he is a FA next year. Brendal is 21st I think. Love to hear your thoughts. Keep it coming man! Well, this is what I've said about needing to invest more in the O-line than they have. I know they've spent high draft picks on Banks and McGlinchey, and a lot of money on guys like Williams and Mack, but all of that was years ago. My issue is that, coming into the 2024 draft, seeing an O-line that clearly had multiple positions needing help, they spent exactly *one* meaningful draft pick on that group, and did nothing significant there in free agency. Obviously, that one meaningful draft pick has worked out brilliantly, and seemingly locked up RG for the next three years, but the rest of the line is still leaking as badly as ever. Last offseason, we at least had the luxury of expecting to bring back everyone who had been a starter the previous year, so there weren't going to be any glaring "fill this spot immediately or there's no one at all" holes. This offseason, however, we've got a LG who's heading to free agency and will not be coming back, a C who's increasingly unplayable, a RT who could really use some competition, and a LT who's still great but is one year closer to inevitable retirement (and there's really nothing at all in place behind those last two). Burford can potentially fill a guard spot, but we know his limitations, and he's never been able to fully hold onto a starting job. Zakelj hasn't shown himself to be anything more than a backup pretty far down the depth chart. Nugent might develop into something, but the fact that he hasn't even merited a game-day elevation from the practice squad yet leaves me really skeptical that he's the guy. Bartch looked good in the couple games he played, and he's the one guy who might be an answer, but given his ongoing injury issues, I don't think we can count on him as a key piece. He's probably a good candidate for the Brunskill/Feliciano role - the 6th-man primary backup across the interior, and an option to take over a starting job if someone struggles. As far as free agency, I'm just really skeptical the Niners can afford to bring in someone at the level we'd need, given everyone else we need to pay this offseason (not just Purdy, but hopefully Greenlaw and Hufanga too). I think the solution really has to be the draft, and so I think Shanahan and Lynch are going to have to hug their cactus of passing up the shiny shiny skill position players, and focus on getting O-linemen. In addition to the interior O-line problems, they have GOT to get a really good tackle prospect who can push or replace McKivitz in the short-term, and give us some sort of succession plan for Trent in the longer term.

the Left side of our O line has been really bad all year long. It got better when Barch replaced Banks, then he got injured. IMHO C, LG, RT, LT depth.

THIS IS EXTREMELY PAINFUL TO WATCH. Week after week, bad OLine play, bad play design, bad game plans, poor player evaluations.. Forcing little Brock to be Elway and a shotgun deep ball QB- which is not his strength - and not using a balanced offense with shorter faster developing pass plays to complement this crappy OLine. Hard to have faith this all get fixed. On and on...

Resign Greenlaw no matter what. He is the heartbeat of the defense. Let Banks walk and get a better center. This dollar tree offensive line isn't working anymore

So maybe the divide between those that say we shouldn't extend Purdy for a big contract and those that say we should is because of what you're saying about the Niners being a 50/50 pass/run built team vs a 75/25. Maybe they're saying Purdy doesn't look like a guy who can succeed in a 75/25 scheme while he has already shown he can succeed in a 50/50 scheme. These fans down on Purdy might be thinking that his new big contract will make it harder to surround him with the talent to maintain the 50/50 scheme with a top 5 D, so they're worried he can't carry the team with his arm-not that any great QB ever did anything without a lot of help from his teammates and coaches. Do you agree that Purdy wouldn't succeed in a more pass heavy offense? Or if they surrounded Brock with an offensive personnel and play design built for a pass heavy offense, would he still succeed? Does Shanahan have to reinvent himself some to succeed as Steve Young said?
