Jeff, in ELS try changing the number under '' in your VCF file for the vehicle. If the number is 0, change it to 1; and if the number is 1, change it to 0 or another number. The numbers correspond to the flash pattern, and that's what might be causing the weird lighting your seeing on your police vehicles.

As per ELS, I'd recommend copying the Sheriff1 ELS file, pasting it and renaming it to police2 to ensure it has nothing to do with an edited ELS file.

I appreciate how you stopped aiming for the head and shoot for the body. At least in my state it's actually the law for police to shoot at the center of mass, because other shots could be considered shooting to maim (Arm, leg, or head)

I am not a vehicle modeler however I think that some of these vehicle models have maybe the headlights and taillights modeled as extras on the vehicle model there for the ELS. XML file that controls the Els needs to be corrected. Try making a copy of the sheriff. XML and replacing the police slots with that XML file

So you copied the SHERIFF.XML and renamed it to POLICE.XML, POLICE2.XML, etc? If so, I would go into the actual vehicle model using the OpenIV Model Viewer and see verify which ELS Extras are modeled to which vehicle components.

I think it could be that you may have 2 instances of the ELS VEHICLE FILE downloaded into lspdfr. Hope this helps Jeff! Been subbed for quite a while and been searching 5m for you lol 😂

Hey Jeff, to help troubleshoot it I would recommend copying your Sheriff ELS XML file and then rename it to Police and see if that fixes it. If it does then its just the file and you could make the changes as you would like. If that doesn't work the only thing that it could be is the Carvariation file and the siren settings not setup the same as Sheriff

Like others have said, I would recommend checking your carvariations.meta, because with the charger example, the POLICE2 slot has a different value in the carvar than the SHERIFF slot.

Fanta CS ELS did it to me at one point with certain vehicles idk if it's his vehicles doing it but when I changed vehicles it stopped as you notice in the robbery call. He hit his ELS button 3 times on that random undercover to make it code 3 lights. But on the one he is patrolling in he hit it once. So I'm pretty it's just the models with the ELS VCF's attached to them

The wig wags might be controlled by the normal GTA emergency lighting system. If this is the case, you could try editing your carvariations.meta. Maybe you install a meta that altered the police slots without you knowing. That’s alI can think of, hope this helps.

I don't know if this is the problem, but you might want to try is going to tools in OpenIV, and uninstall "ASI Loader", "ASI Manager" and "OpenIV.ASI" and install them again. Reboot your computer and start the game. Worked for me when I had a similar problem. Sometimes ELS just has a hissy fit and doesn't work for any apparent reason.

I had this problem Jeff a few months back. I sent you a comment on your video asking if you knew. I found the only way to fix that issue was to completely replace the carvariations file with the original. Hope this helps.
