Again great guitar player, but no lead singer ability. Greedy as well, without eagles he wouldn't even be known. He may have come up with the riff for hotel California, but that's it. Without Glen and Frye it was just that a riff.

Without Don Felder, there would be no Hotel California. The Eagles would have existed as a group, but probably not ascended to the upper reaches of rock stardom without that song. Felder is way more important to the Eagles than most people realize.

Obviously, he's no lead vocalist. But, he's an icon. I would love to see him perform. He can lay claim to a a dozen iconic guitar solos and riffs. How many can say that? No, he was not going to take a vocal part away from anyone in the Eagles.....Glenn Frey said it best some people never get to touch the ball. But, his contribution was huge.

If Felder sung they didn't have got one single hit. He use autotune. He is a fantastic guitar player, but his singing is bad! You can listen to one song where he sung on an Eagles record (One of these nights), "Too many hands" written by Felder. The other guys gave him an introduction treat, when he joined the band at that time. I love Felder's playing, but his singing. Nope!

Well his dream finally came true, Felder always wanted to sing lead on some songs...he didn’t sound too bad either. But back in the day Henley and Frey were just the men for the job when it came to lead vocals. Felder is and will always be one of my favorite lead guitarist. I thought he did an awesome job on that song. The Eagles would have never got to where they did without him. Many people who won't follow the credits and history of the band would know what a crucial and important part he was to that band. They basically used him. Henley and Frey who are excellent song writers became too cocky and since they had majority power in the band....they used him up and spit him out. Don Felder as far as character goes, is way more classy than the two that let him go.

Keto Over 60 I've read his book twice. I know what you mean about him airing all the band's dirty laundry including his own. He seems very happy today though performing while Don Henley still looks constipated.😂 I saw both in concert this past year & Felder's was much more fun. I'd definitely go see him again. As for the Eagles... They've always been my favorite band (all lineups until they fired Felder). I loved Don & Glenn's voices & songs but don't think much of them as people. I love Deacon filling his dad's shoes but don't care for Vince Gill in the band. Liked him as a solo artist back in the 90's but he's not an Eagle.

@@bluejaysbaseball What did you dream at night? You wouldn't sound the same. Everybody knows that autotune won't help if you can't sing. Autotune can help if a vocalist has a hoarser voice during the gig or if you want to use it as cleary audible effect (eg. some Cher songs)
