The power of guitar is there is no age restriction.Ive seen on YT 90 yr olds play better guitar than me.But Don Felder looks good for being 70.Hell Ozzy still jumps around on stage and he's in his late 60's I think.

Steuart Smith that plays Felders parts in the Eagles band now just looks like he is on stage working and thats all. Never smiles if so rarely. He does not have Felder's charisma that is for sure. Actually he is boring to watch. It is amazing just to watch Felders fingers as he plays.

Again great guitar player, but no lead singer ability. Greedy as well, without eagles he wouldn't even be known. He may have come up with the riff for hotel California, but that's it. Without Glen and Frye it was just that a riff.

Don is a great guitarist. you can tell by his technique. Knows his scales, major and minor mixes, etc. Maybe not a great singer but his playing makes up for it.

Great, in the early 2000s I was listening to the Eagles live in Lucca on the radio, after a few songs I asked myself "why does Felder sound so cold today?" I learned that it wasn't Felder but a session musician. Sin !

Without Don Felder, there would be no Hotel California. The Eagles would have existed as a group, but probably not ascended to the upper reaches of rock stardom without that song. Felder is way more important to the Eagles than most people realize.

If Felder sung they didn't have got one single hit. He use autotune. He is a fantastic guitar player, but his singing is bad! You can listen to one song where he sung on an Eagles record (One of these nights), "Too many hands" written by Felder. The other guys gave him an introduction treat, when he joined the band at that time. I love Felder's playing, but his singing. Nope!

Obviously, he's no lead vocalist. But, he's an icon. I would love to see him perform. He can lay claim to a a dozen iconic guitar solos and riffs. How many can say that? No, he was not going to take a vocal part away from anyone in the Eagles.....Glenn Frey said it best some people never get to touch the ball. But, his contribution was huge.

So glad i saw all of them together way back in 1994 when they were at their peak. Don is doing well here though. i feel he was often dismissed by the other band members and was not respected or treated fairly.
