It's just a shame that the b18 is expensive now (b18c is over 8k just for the engine) because of supply and how rare they are now. I opted for the k24a turbo because you can still get a block for 900 to 1100 dollars and make just as much as a b series just with more torque. The k20 is still used in the newer type r as well, so there's no shortage of k right now

Brought my MK3 Supra for the show and this was my first time watching a drag. I could not even believe my eyes when I saw that 6.9 at Woodburn, OR. You guys are on an entirely different level. Also loudest car by FAR at the show. Didn't even know 2K HP was possible, let alone out of a 2.0L four banger. Black magic.

That 2nd 3rd 4th shift was so fast, wonder if you can widen those gear ratios , the car really took off in high gear.

The 2-4th ratio is so short it's to keep the engine on full boost at 11k rpm. But I do agree with you that the ratio seems too short. Rather having to pull so many gears manually, i think an airshifted assist with shifter pedal might be a better option.

What really happened is that some people stop believing in the b series till k series came along and blinded them from the true potential a b series really have, I never stopped loving those b series engine and no one can make me stop loving them

The b are extremely rare now and are way too expensive (over 8k just for the engine). It's not that people are tossing the b off, it's just that the K are wayyy more affordable. And you can make just as much as a B series
