Old judoka here. This is great well done. My one extra advice is that it's good to practice taking a really slow step forward on your own and just feeling the transfer of weight. Understand that there's a point when there's no weight on your front foot and there's a point where there's too much weight on your front foot and if someone tried to sweep you they'd be just kicking you. There is a sweet point where the person being swept (uke) starts to trust the foot, starts to think they can put weight on it, trusts it, commits to it and then you sweep. That's the moment. Looking forward to others in the series!

Loving the channel, JFlo!💪 never too late to learn anything. 🙌 I'm a green belt in judo, but I mostly train jiu-jitsu. It is always nice re-watching the basics... I feel that this is the area many people tend to overlook when learning anything in life. keep up the awesome work, Justin! 😃

I’ve been trying to work some judo into my training, but it’s difficult because I can only go off of online instructionals. You are lucky to have the resource of a skilled judo black belt. I feel like jujitsu without judo is like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich without bread.
