Hello, Jennifer! “Cancel” is also used in Brazil with the same meaning. The word is “cancelar”, in Portuguese. I love your lessons and your hard working to help us.

@@JForrestEnglish My pleasure! Actually contracting words in English is much easier than for ex in Russian. Remember, when working with Кiwis I had a shift manager wiith whom got terrible relations. So talking with New Zealanders I called him shiftain, even at his presense, since he wasn't good in English and couldn't understand the joke. But downunderers could and amused😉

Last year, I learned a new word used among teenagers in Italy... It was "cringe" with the same meaning it is used in English speaking world (I think): embarrassing. My daughter told me: "come sei cringe!" (how cringe you are!) 😅
