Every step they took was so tactical, they used smoke grenades to hide in trenches, they did stealth missions and went prone in grass to avoid the swarm of trucks, they called clusters as distractions to move into positions. Altough I assume it takes a huge load of work, seeing a match take place from different perspectives/different streams in the same context (shooting/getting shot at) is absolutly amazing. The commentary and analysis of both gameplay and strategy of this match from JGOD is just the cherry on top.

I would love to see a resurgence gamemode in Verdansk, making it so you can always get revives as long as one member is alive would promote team wiping and fighting. It would also place more players in the match for more total kills since there are more lives granted. Edit: To people replying saying this already exists in another gamemode, I am literally referring to the gamemode Resurgence that is on Rebirth Island, and I want to try it on Verdansk. I understand that buybacks/plunder serve a similar respawn function but the ability to eliminate a team with a full wipe (no gulag, no buyback) is what I find appealing. If my squad beats another squad, we get to keep playing at mostly full power in another ~20 seconds and we don't need to be scared of losing our loadouts, plates, ammo etc. so more time is spent fighting than looting.

Ideally, that would sound nice. But you could literally have 1 teammate hide say in top ATC or top prison and your whole team would have way too many respawns and would be impossible to squad wipe some teams. It works better on resurgence because of the smaller map, but not so much in Verdansk.

for sure. This first game was almost rigged for iron/marked as they play this style AND it was prison final zone which iron is the prison master. I'm sure other teams had a better chance in later games with different zones and adjusting to the style

This style of commentary is great! Love watching the private lobby competitions. Forcing everyone to play at the best makes for very interesting gameplay, even if it's slower. They have to focus both on their overall strategy for the game and their tactics in fights. Watching this type of gameplay is very instructive as to how to win, even against the most stacked lobby you could possibly get.

A Battle Royal tournament format needs to encompass all parts of said BR. In my opinion the best way to balance this is to reward players with half points for downs, a half or even a full point for a revive and a full point for buying a teammate back into the game. Then to compensate people playing for the win places 10-2 would get 1-9 points respectively on placement. Winning is a team effort and I think something like 5 points per person ALIVE when you win is fair. This keeps passive players in the game getting points off revives and downs but forces them to shoot and put themselves out there to be shot and a guy on one amazing team can get 30 kills and place well not win the game, but maybe have the points to win the tourney. All of these stats could easily be tracked per game if content creators push Activision for it, which will then reduce time needed to tally points. Thanks for reading!

I agree and I think a point should be deducted for each death too because it's all good getting 15 kills but if you die 4 or 5 time getting those kills and another player gets the same amount of kills with no deaths that player should be rewarded.

Yeah, having to use all the pay to win items and broken weapons do ruin the game. Everyone got a taste of it a few months back. No one liked it.

@@TrendyTryhard all the streamers in this lobby are using roze skin and dmr, or mac 10. a few months back even the noobs had to do it. and for 2 weeks they didnt patch anything. the pros didnt like it, the hard tries hated it, the noobs despised it. being competitive is fun but not when the game is broken and there is no variety.

I think the problem is that they need to build an entirely new game for ps5 while they could just update the xbox version. I don't know the technical reasons for that, but there will be a ps5 version sooner or later.
