I love this. As someone who grew up in Sweden playing the real Floorball, even attended an elite Floorball high school (yes, those exist in Sweden where floorball is huge), it's fun to see that the game gets a little recognition from across the pond. Obviously real Floorball is closer to hockey as in 5 on 5, much bigger surface, bigger goals, tougher play and all that but this was a real treat. Will certainly watch the rest of the games! Let's gooooo

What's pretty impressive is a lot of the players in this years, and last years, tournament never played floorball or hockey at all, and have all been rather competitive and aware of how zoning and positioning works

Played a couple of years myself as a teen(at the same time as football and hockey) and it is probably the most fun. However, the team I played for were so dominant that we played one age group up and still dominated so it kinda killed the enjoyment. So after I quit football and hockey when I came back from military service, I started playing weekends with a friend group and we have done since. Now 36 and with blown knees and back, it's still fun as hell.

As someone who has played floorball regularly for almost two decades, quick wristers are super effective. They are very hard for golies to read and if you get a good flick, they're powerful shots. But they are harder to aim. And use your feet to protect the ball. If you aren't that confident doing dangles, use your body and feet to protect the ball. Floorball is a non-contact sport so they can only use their stick to try and get the ball away from you.

No, because both teams have access to him. Watching the game, Chris Rose was saying how We Got Ice should wave the flag for it. As soon as MacFlurry Power got possession, K-Mac immediately waved it instead. Each side gets a 4 on 3 power play with the ability to use Pavel so it isn't unfair.

@@brianeleighton ok makes sense. I just think its cheap to do it when u're already winning. Personally I would only do it if behind but that's just my sense of fair play. Use a pro athlete to tie/catch up the game not to win or extend the lead

Because the rules also don't let him be used in the 3rd, if they didn't use him when they did they could have lost the ability to use him. I think We Got Ice's strategy was to hold off using it as long as possible. Basically to wait until the last minute of the 2nd in the hope that MacFlurry Power wouldn't want to "waste" theirs while ahead. If I'm right, We Got Ice was hoping to be the only team to use him because of gaming the rules.
