What a big star Gisele MacKenzie was. She kind of carried the show. It went off the air when she starred in her own show on Saturday nights, The Gisele MacKenzie Show. .

This brings back such memories - even as a kid I looked forward each week to the Hit Parade. I actually grew up with the Hit Parade - from the time I was 6 until it ended. But they forgot Rosemary Clooney.

Eileen, Giselle and June had amazing voices. Eileen's rich tone and breath control so moved me, it brought tears to my eyes. I was only 8 or so when Hit Parade was televised - too young to appreciate their talents like I do now.

I think Giselle McKenzie stood above all of the performers on Your Hit Parade. I know that Jill Corey is still with us, I'm guessing we've lost all the other Paraders....

Its not the same, without High End Set Design and Costumes , doing a song set to the a mini story like music Video, just standing infront of a dead background and singing standing still to a piano don't get it
