Mr. G - a couple of thoughts. 1) you guys can actually dance 2) the fellas who acted in "Spinal Tap" were all really good musicians. You could easily come up with a comedic storyline w/ music & dance. Just portray yourselves as likeable people and your genuine talents will back you up. Think "Zoolander" - not necessarily a bunch of genius-type characters but the humor was there. You could include in-jokes about being performers trying to become something bigger - but getting dissed by people like Simon. Then maybe some kind of Bollywood theme comes into it to cause a conflict. I've got more ideas but I know how copyright laws can complicate trying to "give" anything away. Regardless, I love the ad, the dancing, the music - and I never imagined it wasn't an actual ad. So Bravo! I'm on FB if you have any reply...

Whether you love or hate it the commercial, the concept behind it is brilliant and did exactly what the creators intended it to do, create a jingle (based on the 90's boy band era that is now fun to mock), that then gets in your head and grows! Just look at how many people have revisited and viewed the ad on YT out of curiosity!!! If just 10 of these viewers have a annuity or cash in a whiplash structured settlement to Ol' JG, the cut Wentworth takes will pay for this commercial ten fold..I'm just saying!

Yes, I thought you guys looked like pro dancers. I tried to look up J Rand, but the guy that comes up does not look anything like the main guy in your commercial. Maybe there are more than one. I'm not sure what you mean by competition. I looked at several of the submissions from other people, most were so bad they were painful to watch. There is only so much lip syncing to the viking opera that I can take. I only found about 3 that were even close. You guys did a great job and were a clear cut above all the rest. Congratulations!

I found a guy with the screen name JRANDVEVO on youtube and he also comes up under wikipedia. Said he was born in 1987 in Delray Beach, FL, does that sound about right? There is also another musician named Josh Rand (b 1974), and another performer named Josh Randall (b 1972). The first one was on Burn Notice Episode #2. He doesn't look the same in any of the photos online. A master of disguise for sure. Most of the submissions I watched were clearly not taking it seriously. There was one that was probably the closest, it was the last one in the list. Its a band with a female vocalist with a sandpaper voice. I think you know the one. Anyhow, you guys did good job and I'll be watching for the sequel.

I wasn't able to find a listing of the winners. There was a section called 'winners' but it was just this video plus some audition mashups.
