As you all know we are ardent food lovers and this is because we were fortunate enough to have around us our super chef mom's, aunt's, sister's, brother's, uncle's, grandma's, grandpa's and many other friends, their families and so on...
So we thought why not to bring to you these Khajana of super fantastic tasty delicacies of our loved ones to you, and who better can show them than themselves.

Mousami Tondwalkar's mom Mrs Mohini Tondwalkar, we call her AAi, so Aai will be showing us how to make Rice Bhakri today, Bhakri is basically elder sister of Indian chapati or Roti, so if Roti or chapati is Urban then Bhakri is rural, its a type of Indian bread mainly prepared in rural area's especially in rural areas of Maharashtra, and even to be more precise Rice Bhakri or "Tandalachi Bhakri" as it is widely called by Maharashtrian's, is mainly prepared in Konkan/Malwan region, as rice grows abundantly in this area, the staple food of people in Malwan or konkan is Rice. Its the Major crop grown here, so rice is replacement for almost everything here for example its a replacement for wheat, jowar bajra etc...
The speciality of this Bhakri that we are showing today is that this bhakri is rolled using Rolling pin wherein conventionally Bhakri is prepared exclusively pressing and rolling using hands and no rolling pin is used. its quite a tedious and tough process, so Aai will be showing a much easier process so that all of you can enjoy soft, home made Bhakri's
