I went from a 4070 mobile gpu to the PS5 Pro and I'm honestly not disappointed in this purchase. The PS5 Pro is definitely an upgrade from the base model. No more blurry visuals. I figured the pro was a pointless upgrade like most, but it's definitely something you have to see in person. Games look just as good as the games I played on my PC minus the 144 frames lol. It feels like a very friendly user gaming PC

If you have a montior over 120hz (which sounds like you do), you should see that the Pro tries to shoot over 120fps and stays consistently at 60fps and 120fps on the games allowing it.

I just bought my PS5 PRO today. I'm coming from a PS4 PRO GOW Limited Edition, so I think the change in performance, graphics, and overall experience is going to be massive-haha! I didn't jump into the first PS5 model nor the Slim disc version either. I waited a little bit longer for the PRO model, and here I am, ready to connect everything and enjoy this new console. Yeah I initially had mine vertical, But I have a fear of it falling over, So I just switched it back to horizontal. I wish we got a better horizontal stand with the slim and pro models though, But it gets the job done. I still prefer the stand that came with the launch PS5.

@armen1136 I would have wasted the vertical stand because I had already planned to have mine horizontally. I had a horizontal stand in my cart on Amazon for 15 bucks, but ended up taking it out because it was unnecessarily elaborate, just for lifting it up off the surface. When I pre-ordered the Pro and saw the pegs for free, It was like having icing on the cake. The main purpose for the pegs is to make sure it's lifted enough for air circulation, and like you said, they get he job done; don't need anything elaborate for that. Free, effective and efficient, no waste 👌. The stand that came with the base model was for both vertical and horizontal use, correct? Yeah, that might have been useful and worth it to me if it provided options in placement and was free.

@armen1136 Yeah I feel ya. If it's good for you, that's all that matters. I've been good without the optical drive for myself. I did take a while on deciding whether to get one or not for this system, and considering my experience with the switch, I decided not to. I like the fact that my games are there just a click away and boot without having to look for or grab a disc every time I want to switch games; I feel a lil too old to be doing that. This is me though, I don't judge others doin that unless they challenge me lol. Technically, I've been digital on the switch for 3.5 of the 5 years of having it and never had an issue. Lost two of them tiny lil game cards for it and ironically the most expensive ones. Smash Bros was digital only at the time I got it on Amazon, and good thing cus that is still on there and works 😂. Can't find them other 2 ($60-$70 a piece) to save my life. So I actually lost money that way ironically and obviously lost out on playing those games lol (one being Dragon Ball Z 😭). Have my receipts for all my games in email from/for PS, and have a feeling I won't have any issues there either. If they do decide to take away the rights to play the games, having the disc won't help either because they'll just stop making content all together for the game at this point. It's good for older games though, agreed 👍.

People who have a PS5 with a 1080p monitor or TV should upgrade to a 4K monitor/TV first. That alone will be a massive upgrade in terms of fidelity. Otherwise, you're not gonna notice a big difference if you buy the Pro.

I got mine for 565£. You can find it in argos for 659£ at the moment. My partner works in sainsbury and have 15% discount on a pay day. That brought ps5 pro price way down to 565£.and yes it was Worth it 🙂

Indeed. It was a bit contradictory to hear that if you arleady have a PS5, the upgrade isn't really that worth it, but then afterwards saying it is "massively superior". If it would be "massively superior", it would definitly be worth the upgrade. So basically just hyping it up. And it's not like the price is just a bit more. Certainly with current Black Friday deals, the Pro is now more than double the price of the Slim. I can now get the Slim Disc version for 460€, while the PS5 Pro with having to buy a disc drive, will cost me 920€. Actually more, since the disc-drives have been scalped. I was waiting for the Pro, but the Slim disc version seems a way better deal.

I already love my PS5 Pro. The isomniac games all look amazing! some games even run a little better without a patch lile Robocop and RDR2 (which should be patched but that's another story) I didn't like choosing between fidelity and performance, and chose performance, so I'm really digging the sharpness and lighting. Completely worth it! My friend always plays his PS5 on fidelity, and says that He doesn't really notice the difference between 30fps and 60 - in that case you should stay away from it.

Trust me, you can get disc drives for the ps5 pro you're just not looking in the right places. I haven't had any problem finding them and I live in the UK. There is literally a deal right now where you get the ps5 pro with the disc drive bundled in for £795 or you can have the option to have the elite dual sense controller. I didn't have to look hard to find it since I'm not even planning to get one I just checked out of curiosity since people were saying they couldn't find them.

The 2TB alone costs over $150 for a decent one, and as others have stated, some have paid more for their base PS5 when that was out; personally know a relative in that category. I decided to stay digital and didn't need a stand as the pegs were good enough for me. $760 with tax, compared to $860-%900+ for base model sounds way better to me, and not to mention the Pro is naturally the better model...so.

DO NOT BUY THE PS5 PRO. On 1080p your PS5 performs the same as the Pro. PS pro is not an upgrade over 4070 PC, just think of how many games you can play and tweak on your PC which are not available on PS5. Also, if you really feel like upgrading your setup then just upgrading your PC or buying a 1440p monitor is the way to go, not buying a slightly better console.

Im so tierd of, tweaking, settings, bios updates, windows updates, nvidia updates, v-sync, tearing, fps anxiety, stutter… Everything is so smooth on consoles, take Fortnite for an example, dear lord ❤ so smooth so good looking game, and yes! PC is great if you want to spend 2 grand plus and spend 15 minutes before every game fighting with windows. I have both but I prefer the Pro on the couch.

there is no pro controller. it was same with ps4 pro which had a standard ps4 controller. you can always get yourself a different controller if you want. i saw the edge controller about 200. so you would like they add this to the pro and sell it for a even higher price ?
