This is such a great collection of eastern greats, and I have to say, Mike Bednar is pretty much my idol. I love reading his articles in TRP. Wonderful job.

Whew!!!Great to see these videos again. Even though the Northeastern rails were going through heck, at least the freight cars were just as interesting as the locos. And I like how Mike calls the switchers "pups." Keep it up, folks.

Those new B&M box cars might have been near the end of any new equipment the B&M got. Wasn’t all that later that great railroad started being run into the ground.

The "Escape Route" was the original LV trackage left in place after the LV/CNJ track consolidation in 1965. This track was to be originally pulled up shortly after the consolidation, but shortly after this consolidation, the LV and CNJ had a bad head-on wreck at Laurel Run. The original LV track was used to "escape" the wreck area at Laurel Run and it was left in place until Conrail eventually removed it

@Conrailfan2323 The audio is synchronized from sounds recorded on location during the time shooting was done. There are possibly one or two NJ locations on the DVD

Where is Railfanning With The Bednars Volume 2?
@JPMediaRR3 жыл бұрын
I can't say for sure, but it may have been removed due to a similarity between the background music that was used and a copyrighted piece of music. Unfortunately, the original unedited file was lost since it was posted back then, so there will be no volume 2 preview anytime soon, if ever

@@JPMediaRR ok thanks, did you ever go to guilford territory and film any trains?
